I though the Greek God storyline was so cool! How she ended up taking them down and the heaven and hell arc and the Mephistopheles episode was lit!! It still gives me tears to see her death in the pen ultimate episode. Also, seeing Hercules kill Zeus protecting her child was so fitting. Hercules always stood up for humanity and the show's biggest and most interesting problem was that these powerful beings that run everything are going around doing whatever they want and humanity needs someone to stand up to them. I appreciate the writers allowing Hercules to have the final and beginning war decree by killing Zeus.

I didn't think his career would take off like gangbusters but he did I'm really happy for him I thought Kevin Sorbo's career would become huge too but it didn't I really liked his version of Hercules.
@richardm30233 жыл бұрын
@@catspaw3092 Kevin Sorbo had a second syndicated series "Andromeda" that ran for 5 years. I believe that after over 10 years of series television he wanted to have time with his family. He's also made no secret about the fact that he is a devout Christian, and in Hollywood this is an automatic career death sentence.

They were both equally popular. They both had 6 seasons. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, In addition to his Series, Hercules has 3-5 feature films to himself , where xena didn't

I remember as a young child sneaking to my grandma's tv in the middle of the night watching this show. It was and still is a great show. I bought the entire dvd collection a couple months ago.

Where Hercules fell off in the middle of its popularity, Xena picked where he left off and finished it ok.

Yes and Ryan has said in interviews that he wished more people appreciated the work he did on young Hercules. It doesn't get very much recognition and it was a good show.

I was a massive Xena fan at the time and still love the series. Lucy pretty much made the series what it was. The storylines were often corny as hell but Lucy always pulled it off with her tomboy attitude and piercing blue eyes. What I loved about the character was her dark past and struggle with being good. Without Gabrielle she always resorted to violence which made her a much more complex and modern character than the ones on other shows at the time.

Xena is not a demi-godess. She only made up the story about Ares being her father to get the Furies out of her head. She also considers herself as a mortal multiple times in the show and certainly cannot survive rocks falling on her like Hercules would. Also, she cannot see gods, which is something Hercules can do because he is half-god.
@ravoniesravenshir39263 жыл бұрын
I heard she was a Amazon, so basically Female Spartan... so we can just draw that she had the power of "BADASS" from the get go.

@@ravoniesravenshir3926 She also denied being an Amazon :) She's just a regular mortal woman who worked really hard to get where she needs to be without any special powers.

It was good to have such an amazing woman as a hero growing up. Xena and Gabrielle literally raised a generation of strong women and men. I liked that they didn’t forced anything like they are doing today like Disney or Netflix that have to have “representation”.
