Find her Live from Abbey Road performance with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tal Wilkenfeld, and Vinnie Colaiuta, if it's not on YT it's on Hulu I think. While she is great here, that performance will be stuck in my head forever.

Did anyone else notice that CBR started out singing in double time, and JB instantly adjusted his comping progression to fit it? Then during the brief turnaround before the second half of the opening verse, he reintroduces the original tempo, and leads her back seamlessly into the original phrasing? Well-done both of them!

Kougeru actually, most didn’t notice it, but she started out singing it way too fast (double time), which Jon recognized and fit his chords to accommodate it, then masterfully led her back to the original phrasing during the turnaround. I think half of what makes this so beautiful to watch is their communication. That little moment when she kind of moans the note just a tad at the end and he kind of looks over at her with a quick mmm in return... And the way they pause in that silence right after the last note is hit, taking in the power and pure beauty of what they've created... It's all just wow.

I finally got to see Corrine in concert after waiting for a decade after her first album and it was life changing. She is a gem and an all-time artist.

I have a huge grin on my face....this performance was timeless, and breath-taking. Proves that in this modern age great music is very much alive. I treasure this recording and so, so glad I stumbled upon it today. Thank you so very much!

The beginning piano reminds me of Bill Evans jazz classic Peace Piece. Miss Rae has such a beautiful Billie Holiday-sequel voice!

I am stunned. The Very Thought of You is a classic, sung by so many. But this version almost hits the best ever. John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman version will never be touched - ever. But this is so amazing, I had to listen to it over & over again. Jon Baptiste is such an amazing talent - flexible with any singer, matching them perfectly. And Corinne Bailey should do the classic song book. Her voice brings back Ella, Billie, Sarah, Blossom, Diana - so sweet and smooth.
