I just keep thinking back to that first time Rick met Michonne at the prison and how far we’ve come. What a great story.

Best episode of the show yet imo. 4 fire episodes in a row! Big props to Danai Gurira for writing this episode as well as her brilliant acting (with Andrew Lincoln) too. This show is really something special.

this episode was so cathartic. i am so very happy they gave carl a serious mention. it really felt like they didnt want to touch too much on that in the original show after carl died so to see rick pouring out like this about his son really made me emotional. i was ugly crying by the time michonne pulled out the phone ))))::::

You expressed the desire for Rick and Michonne to hash things out with some deep conversation, and this episode most certainly delivered with Andrew and Danai delivering powerhouse performances of Rick and Michonne, spending a sojourn in a lovely airbnb, having said deep conversations, (whilst also taking a brief detour or two to kill a lot of walkers for additional romantic bonding as one does,) all of it was FANTASTIC. It is just as fantastic, Jess, to now share the episode with you and see your beautiful reaction and hear your wonderful thoughts and insights.

I feel like people forget in the first episode how everyday Rick had a razor to his throat in his room. Dude thought about suicide a lot and was in a dark hopeless place.

The whole Carl scene & Rick’s explanation of It brought me back to 5x10 in the barn when we were at our lowest & Rick was telling the story about his grandfather. “…Every day he woke up and told himself ‘rest in peace now get up and go to war’. And then, after a few years of pretending he was dead, he made it out alive. And that’s the trick of it I think. We do what we need to do and then we get to live. But no matter what we find in DC I know we’ll be OK. Because this is how we survive, we tell ourselves that WE are The Walking Dead” But we also have the convo in the car with the 2 of them in 7x12 about him being okay dying or having her die & moving forward 😭

I love the building being this huge Metaphor for their emotional walls coming down all episode. I've also always believed that the "magic" of Rick and Michonne is making us love who they are as individuals, then making us fall in love with who they are as a power couple. Now that we're back on the same page for now, (I say for now because I think who ever catches up with them will try to use the mental control over Rick being conditioned as a Solider one last time and due to the trauma we saw it will be a fight again for him to fight through it because the scares go so deep still.) but he'll never be as low as he was so it won't work! Last thing, "We" need to go home check on our Family and then head to the Summit with some friends! Bring the leadership down and "take over this whole damn WORLD cause we know "We" can do it better!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!💜💜

I'm trying not to let my guard down with this happy business because like you said “it’s all gonna go to crap very soon” I’m terrified, but I can't tell you how much I related to how anxious and full of fear he was. It was incredibly well portrayed by Andy. The fact that he was so depressed that he couldn't even have an escape with these dreams. I 1000% believe Rick has a right to be afraid, but I hate it for him. Yeah, I don't think she'll think they're gone either which is partly why I think Rick said no to going with her after they see this helicopter. He had a panic attack because it finally set in that he could lose her again and that idea is so crippling. Like you said he can't think about anything else, but the fear and that's a very real thing. The writing of this episode was outstanding.

12:38 After all these years putting Walkers down, and even one shift as a conscript on the kill line, where some "Non-Kills" threatened someone, one would think Michonne would aim better. This "kill" only takes out the forebrain. It's the brain stem that's active in walkers. This one should get back up, or just keep coming. Just a little "continuity flaw" 13:20-14:22 Rick and Michonne, killing walkers together, fighting to protect each other. Like old times. Nostalgia kicks in, mutual feelings and impulses rise. 22:45-22:53 "They have love. They have hope. Working as a team." You overlooked the obligatory "The couple that slays together, stays together." It's no nearly as macabre a saying in a zombie apocalypse.

What I'm wondering is that why didnt the pilot see or hear them jump out the chopper and call it in before it crashed like rick was able to when he was crashing with okafor.....so the pilot just completey ignored them jump and just crashed in silence...
@ThomasCorp7 ай бұрын
This would assume the pilot did in fact see or hear Michonne grab Rick and jump out, and that the pilot had time to call that in before losing control of the chopper and crashing. It did look like a pretty nasty storm after all.
@The1Music2MyEars7 ай бұрын
Looks like they washed up ashore pretty much right near the crash site, so what probably happened is after they jumped, the helicopter immediately went down, which is pretty crazy and the amount of odds they face is unrelenting but their duality just makes things happen.

The chopper was what 100 feet away who would've had enough time to call that in

@simonejobity99116 ай бұрын
@kamarlia Thats right, you got to give it at least a month before hallmark pregnancy symptoms show up. At this point in the apocalypse pregnancy test, baby formula and birth control expired or not in existence. Michonne going to have relay on the rhythm method to keep the periods coming. Going to be a bit harder for Rick to pull out with only one hand now.
