The 807 was my first auto also. A great watch for everyday use around the house. The non polished case really help it in this role. It’s small size helps it to ‘disappear ‘ on the wrist. I wish seiko did a range in this size with a more modern movement.

@ martin jones: Seiko just released (03/2023) the SRPJ8x line of 36mm field watches with the 4R36 movement in it. Hand winds and hacks. ~$275ish. Not as much value as the SNK80x line, but, still a worthy successor w/ classic field dial layout.

Thanks for watching! Since they're discontinued now they're getting harder to find. I think I got mine from creation watches when I bought mine quite a few years ago. Prices are much higher now unfortunately

It's nice. What is the daily deviation of the clock?

Seiko give a daily tolerance of -20 to +49 per day but mine is more accurate than that. Mine is probably about -15 to +15

Mine came with -1/d which is more accurate than my Tissot and Longines haha.. but as with every watch you can calibrate it if it got worse deviation, and its possible to calibrate this watch to +2/-2 easily

@@allmyinterests5139 these Seiko movements are quite easy to regulate with a few tools and Seiko also tends to under promise and over deliver in terms of their accuracy ratings

In addition to using the regulating lever, you can also rest the watch dial up, crown up, etc different positions that will affect timing and effectively speed up or slow down the movement.

Been wearing this exact same watch since 2005, in 19 years the only thing that I've changed is the navy strap which got manky over time. I got it for the bargain price of £25 too, best investment I ever made.

This is my first automatic as well though I usually prefer quartz for day-to-day tasks. I love the blue coloring as it's beatiful when you want to notice it and disappears when you don't. If I had to wear one watch for the rest of my life I could be happy with this one. Unfortunately I don't like the updates after the SNK. While they have some objective improvements they have issues that make them worse watches for me like the size increase (and the new Seiko 5 logo but that's nitpicky on my part) but they're still good watches.

Hey man this is me your 200th subscriber i love watches man but can only do only maybe 40bucks can you recommend a automatic watch at the range ?? And does anyone have old watches lying around collecting dust maybe i can buy if from you guys ?

Thanks so much for subscribing! For 40 bucks you might be able to find a second hand Seiko 5 or possibly check out the AliExpress sale that's happening right now. If you can stretch your budget to 60 there are some watches with fairly reliable miyota movements inside

@@addicted_to_watches the thing is there are lot of good second hand watches but i can't differentiate between real and fake so i don't want to get scammed. And I've looked and couldn't really find a good one thats why i was asking here. Iam from india btw. I love this seiko snk807 but i can't find it anywhere and the cost is sooo much High here

There are definitely a lot of fakes out there. If you look at enough of them you'll start to recognise the fakes. I'd just suggest keeping an eye on eBay and being patient
