What a brilliant way to get people into a series. Let them read/listen to a huge portion of it for free. Don't like it, nothing lost. Love it? Suddenly you've got another obsessed fan. Vaguely interested? Now you know it's worth at least trying the rest of the story! I've always tried getting into the audiobooks for these, but there's something just too special about the physical version of this books for me. Absolutely devouring 300 pages at a time at the climax of each book. It just wouldn't feel the same listening to it, getting distracted. For me, reading them, barely being able to see the book through the tears soemtimes, it's all so pivotal to the experience for me. So if the audiobook doesn' hit right for you, I encourage you try reading too! And if you audiobook is how you feel in love with the series, I love that for you too.

@@Adi-oc7vu Its THE modern fantasy series. The best world building and magic system concepts you can find in the last couple decades. It's a character study not on what the can magics do for people, but what flawed characters (depression, fear, addiction, etc.) can achieve despite their struggles. A vast and rich story with value in rereading. It's an epic that throws a lot of new terms at you early and the action scenes are hard hitting and flashy. So it can be a little intimidating, but when you really grasp it, there's nothing else that comes close. Magic knights, Herlads of a once all powerful god, Voidbringers said to have consumed whole worlds, clandestine groups, rumours of world changing events, ancient oaths of power, and the greatest character journey I've experienced all begin here. It's just waiting for you to take your next step.

I was just telling my eldest, who loves Stormlight Archive as much as I do, that I am hoping Sanderson will release the audiobook versions of Wind and Truth preview chapters like he did for RoW. And that he should really release WoK preview chapters as an awesome advertisement for the series as a whole. I am so glad that Brandon read my mind! And I will come back here whenever someone asks me for a fantasy recommendation.

You know, I've been dreaming of becoming someone like you since I was 11 years old when I started writing. I created a whole universe (something similar to what you created) and have been building it since ( I'm 31 now). I haven't managed yet to finish any book. I'm not consistent with my writing, but reading your books is a huge source of courage and inspiration to me. When I was a child, I never read any stories like what I wanted to create, so what I was creating in my head seemed like something from the realm of dreams. As I grew up and became an adult, it felt even more difficult to achieve after learning about the process to actually get a publishing house to invest in a new author, a new story. But after discovering your Cosmere and your stories, I feel renewed with hope and the knowledge that it is possible and achievable. It's also a huge extra encouraging point for me since we both have the same faith, so I know I could make it and stay true to my beliefs. (English is not my first language. Please forgive any mistakes I might have made 😅)
