Since I hand lo ad, I haven't been able (or willing) to exceed factory bullet speeds, I have been able to play with components to maximize performance at safe levels. Shoots a 1/2 moa 3 shot groups, the 4th shot is a flyer due to heat! Just simply knocks the stuffing out of anything from deer to elk! You can't go wrong. Never let any of the firearm 'authorities' tell you you're under gunned with the .257 Wby. They're paid to try and sell you the "latest and greatest" from the manufacturers!

I own the Badlands model in 6.5 creedmoor. I really appreciate the quality of the rifle as well as it's versatility with having the cerakote. I also love supporting the Weatherby company! The President and CEO (Adam Weatherby) really seems to love the Lord Jesus Christ and I fully support that. 🙌🏼

They can be very accurate but they also can be very inaccurate too! Having owned about a hundred Vanguards and being a 60+ year gun collector the were a lot better for the price when they were first offered through Weatherby but the price keeps climbing and the quality hasn’t! Some company’s build up the company until it’s a big hit then ride on the name for years before selling it!

It's a nice, Traditional Walnut stock for me. The 24 inch barrel. And chambered for the fine, old .30-06 ! This (for me at least) will cover all your Hunting needs. We have taken Elk, Caribou, Moose, and everything lighter/smaller! 😊

Awesome rifle. My father in law gave me one last year and he sighted it in before he gave it to me. I have pulled the trigger twice since I got the rifle, and I have killed two deer with it. One at 50 yards and one at 250 yards. Very happy with it. Thank you for making a quality firearm.

I'd always wanted a Weatherby .300 , then got the Vanguard, seen the Made in Japan on the barrel and thought "Ahh crap." Then I took a deer with it at 556yards, the bullet went right were the crosshairs were laying. DRT

I bought one in .300 wby. back in 2001. It's hard on the right shoulder but I love it still. Took a lot of game with it. My 125 lb. wife shoots it better than myself lol! She is absolutely non sensitive to recoil.

I definitely appreciate the multiple options from cartridge choice to different visual aesthetics and features. I just made one in a .257 Wby Mag with Tungsten Cerakote, Hand laid Fiberglass stock, straight fluted barrel. Such a beautiful piece for $1099. I wish that they were available in LH, but I know that the company who builds the barreled actions have them only available in RH. Which I can use (I have two rifles, one in 270 that is LH and a 300 WSM in RH) I hope that you guys come out with a SA .284/7mm similar but a bit better than the 7mm SAUM.

I ordered a custom Vanguard Camilla and ran enough rounds through it to sight it in. The bolt rubbed a groove in the stock, and the bolt action is super sticky - nothing like my Vanguard youth model in 6.5 creedmoor. I love the Vanguard line, but I don't recommend a custom rifle.

I use a light coat of white lithium grease on my bolt.and it's a lot smoother.

I have just bought a weatherby vanguard 30-06. What ammo do you recommend to get the best accuracy. I hunt white tail at about 200 yards normally

I am the owner of a Weatherby Vangard .300 win mag. I am having issues with the safety. Try to remove it off safety, the safety will not move. Is there any ideas you can share to help me solve this problem without it costing alot to have it repaired? Thanks in advance for all positive comments.

No. I wanted one. And the entry level Mark V's at $1500 & other models do not have LH option.The basic LH Accumark cost $2400
