Sooner or later, as the old saying goes; 'The way of all flesh' what came before, will return over and over again', Peterson had been compromised some time ago, he was always a borderline shill, maximizing his pseudo-intellectualism with high volume skewed narrative, he would propagate an idea irrespective of how absurd, then explain it away or defend it in a nuanced way, I caught on to him many years ago. and dismiss his video's immediately, a charlatan and an epic shill.

Unfortunately there wouldn’t be a translation that I know of for the English-speaking community, but for the ones speaking Bosnian I highly recommend watching him. Anyway, he was talking about how newspapers say „we have donated millions of dollars or we have decreased the debt or this and that for millions of dollars“. They have to say it like that to make it look good because if they would say it in percent - it wouldn’t even be 1% of the actual debt. He explains it much much better than me.

Jordan Peterson was great when he stuck to his original profession, psychology. But when he started giving his political and economic opinions, he lost me. Great analysis here as usual. Adam Smith even said that capitalism is only viable in a society that has strong ethical prerogatives. Anyone who believes capitalism has self-corrective mechanisms built into it are fools. It has to be heavily regulated and substantially supported by non-private institutions if it is to work at all.

The problem with the west in terms of critical thinking is that there is simply no robust interrogation of the facts, there is not a 360 degree consideration of the topic. So, Middle Nation is forcing us to reflect not only on the issues and on our shallow knowledge but also on the fact that we are being brought so late in the day to the process of critical thinking.

Look at the Egyptians, the Romans, the Greeks, Persians, sure they had war etc but their art was amazing, their connection to the heavens was rock solid, there was something binding people together. Now it’s just this blind list for money that has people running off a cliff like lemmings.
