He’s at least not emotionally inept and can explain what he’s feeling clearly and that says a lot, if I could give him advice I’d say he needs to have a very real sit down conversation with his S/O and come to a decision together. Like this is sometime someones dealing with and it’s very real for that person and it’s something he’s truly struggling with and he sincerely doesn’t wanna hurt the other person, at least as much as someone can avoid hurting them with a situation like that
@Cyrribrae5 ай бұрын
So, I agree with you. It was interesting that they had little empathy for him, even though I actually do understand why they would be turned off by his words. I've heard friends sincerely say similar words, despite loving their partners dearly (my god, one of them the night before the wedding). It's heartbreaking, but it's not necessarily the end of the relationship, because I think there are lots of ways where relationships are about more than the sex. But. Yea. It's hard. Honestly, my brain even worries a "honest conversation" could be so counterproductive. Relationship ends all the same, and it just leaves lasting trauma for them both, rather than if it just ended some other way. Iono.

@Ashar1215 ай бұрын
I didn't really understand why they were so repulsed by that either. The guy seemed pretty sincere in his love for his partner and did at least have some empathy for her feelings. He also has (according to him) not cheated. It's a very low bar, I know, but considering how many stories QT and Maya have told about cheating exes, doing the bare minimum (aka being faithful and respectful) seems like an achievement (it's not, don't fucking cheat on your partner). I do understand that the language he used was kinda out there. Like there is a difference between "I see women and I am filled with *lust* and need to remove myself" versus "sometimes, I find other women attractive." This dude makes it seem like he has to physically restrain himself to prevent himself from cheating. The other question I have is how much of the lack of attraction is purely physical versus things like her initiating or being more adventurous. Because one of those can not be helped and even bringing it up will only hurt the other person. The latter can potentially be improved with a sincere conversation. And to end with, don't women talk about losing attraction all the time? Isn't that what "getting the ick" is?
@fearoffrying4 ай бұрын
@@Ashar121getting the ick is not the same as losing attraction over time in a relationship. Your sense of empathy is also way more limited than you’re giving yourself credit for if you don’t understand how women are imaging the woman’s perspective and how horrible, hurtful, and devastating it would feel to hear that your partner was never really attracted to you, can barely contain his lust for other women, and is on Reddit looking for sympathy because he’s too cowardly to deal with the guilt of leaving his partner. Who deserves to be with someone who actually finds her attractive.
@Tom-ahawk4 ай бұрын
He's being very open and sincere. Yes the situation is sad, but not communicating it is even sadder. I felt a lot of empathy for their situation. I always communicate my attraction or lacktherof to my partner and we just both feel sex is about 1% of our total relationship. If one of us isnt feeling it or we both are, the love has never died. Maybe we're both just lucky that sex isnt really that big of a deal to us. For some guys, I guess it means everything. But love really is the strongest part for us. SSRIs definitely fuck with the body hard, but depression/anxiety is rampant now. Im sure its some modern developmental thing or chemical we're exposed to somewhere but we'll probably and sadly never prove it in my lifetime.

My oldest brother died the day they brought him home. The only reason it hurts me is seeing my mom sad every year on his bday

It's always the 10mm. My ex threw away my late dad's wedding ring.

Maya's incredulity is so funny 😄 Also my immediate guess on that socket in the set was 10mm. That's just a classic.

Maya looks so good without make up. She literally doesn't need it at all. I saw one of her videos... And she was like, "just woke up..." And i was thinking to myself, "there is no way she wakes up looking that good..." Until I realized she wasn't even wearing make up lol. She looks so perfect even without makeup.

With the attraction thing, even if someone's not my type I feel like I could become attracted to them because of their personality if they're at least like a 4/10 or higher on my personal rating scale. Attraction is extremely important in a relationship and I would never want to date someone that I'm not attracted to because I feel like they could do better.

Losing the 10mm socket is a big deal as it's the one most commonly used (not just with cars) so losing it means that's a lot of stuff you can't fasten/loosen. It's also breaking a set thing. You can always buy a new 10mm socket but it almost will never be the same design or sometimes size (length & girthiness) so it's just a reminder of the lost socket. Losing a 10mm socket is so common that it's become a meme, hence how the post is worded.

10mm socket is almost undeniably the most used socket in any set, I literally said 10mm out loud while I was watching this long before you got to it lol

The 10mm thing is a meme, 10mm is a very common head size for smaller bolts on a car. You use it a lot and it’s small so it’s easy to lose, and when you need it, odds are it isn’t there.

Suffering a loss 7 years ago is far too long to be expecting someone will change their daughters name for you.

I knew immediately it was the 10mm. And that it would infuriate Maya.
