For context this show takes an hour and talk with the host for 10 minutes and than a bunch of questions and comments from callers to either the host or guest. So 40 some minutes into the show (after the person basically dodging all questions and telling a bunch "can we get the next caller?"). So guy comes on air and asks something alongs the lines of "I'd like to ask HIM a question". The guest went in a full tyrade for a solid 15 minutes about how the caller should know not to call that person "him" and cusses them out and the whole shitshow. Meanwhile I'm listening, the person sounds like a man on the radio (full on deep chain smoking santa voice) and only mentioned they are a she at the beginning of the program. Like how should a full grown adult know this person that sounds and talk like a man know this disembodied voice on the radio is, supposedly, a woman? And with kids these types of mistakes become even more common. Fuck, it's not uncommon for a kid to accidentally call a teacher mom or dad what makes these people think they're personal lives is somehow so important to kids? @therealdeal36722 жыл бұрын
The idea that there should ever be a secret between the kids and the parents is abhorrent to promote as a teacher! It should actually be directly against the law because it is a grooming technique to encourage secrets. And this has nothing to do with a child approaching an adult to reveal their own secret. It has to do with any adult ever encouraging a child to keep a secret from their parents. That is absolutely unacceptable! Hopefully some kid that tells their parents everything will say, "my teacher said I could have a secret name at school and have the name that she keeps secret and calls me when she talks about me to mom. Isn't that interesting?" I mean kids will say all kinds of stuff and they're pretty honest a lot of the time about what's going on. Whether I'm teaching a 4 yr old, or an 8 yr old, I have to understand their comprehension levels. The human brain is not fully developed until 25. Telling them that one day you want to be called he and the next day she, is extremely confusing to them. A teacher may not feel comfortable or be allowed to explain this to a 4 yr old. Teaching them social-emotional skills, how to deal with their feelings, and encouraging them to talk about their feelings are the stepping stones they need going into puberty. It's not difficult to teach them love, compassion and acceptance. Those are the basics of humanity. Much more than that, they don't fully understand yet. Now...I have had a child in my class who was trans. I discussed everything with the parents and we were all supportive and on the same page. I then had a brief conversation with the children in the class about the situation. You can explain things in a way that is respectful and at their level of understanding. Keeping Secrets from Parents isnt objectively bad though and Blaire seems to not know that Parents can just be bad Parents . She seems unaware this little, tiny, GIANT fun-fact. She makes it sound like Names and Pronouns are the same as the word "Sugarcube", but thats b.s. A child obviously should have the Ability to have Secrets form Parents; in fact, it may ENDANGER a child and get it HIT. Hello? Do you have no common sense, dear Blaire? If you wanna pretend theres no parents who hit their Child for daring to think Atheist-Thoughts after being raised Christian, then your objectively wrong.

I was a preschool teacher for over 12 years. I have a huge problem with these so called educators. I especially have an issue with locking children in closet’s. I don’t think these individuals realize that they can get arrested for that.
@Sigurther2 жыл бұрын
I also don't believe these teachers realize what a huge safety/fire hazard this is. I seem to recall a story a few years back about a school locking its doors to combat truancy. Now, not just locking them with a key in the door lock but huge ass chains and locks cross the doors. A few parents found out, and the school got quite the lecture, one of which was from the local fire chief on how absurdly unsafe that was and the fire codes it violated. I imagine a few 'educators' lost their jobs that day. Seeing teachers do this to students over *masks* makes me seethe with rage and happy I don't have kids. The recent video of a momma bear vocally ripping school staff a new one over locking their kid in the library about sums up my stance on the issue. Safe to say I'd be homeschooling in today's day and age.

In the high school i went to they had a padded room for special needs students who act up. I was put in that room a couple times and i never acted up, it was so humiliating. One of the times it was for my saftey from another student who was actually violent, but the other time was absolutely unnecessary.

I teach preschool. Have for over 7 years now. Not once has the topic of gender or genitals come up in conversation. I would be really pissed off if my kid was in that teacher’s class. I find it disgusting that teachers are pushing their own personal beliefs onto young kids. It honestly should be grounds for losing your teaching license.
@madisoncorman Жыл бұрын
the conversation they were having about gender was most likely a group of little boys talking about weiners, because that is what kids do! they think butts and boobies are funny to talk about, but the teacher making it sound like they were having a college level gender studies conversation is ridiculous. As an adult the teacher should have told her students that is an inappropriate topic of conversation and moved on
@dennisddt1146 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, that conversation didn't "come up", you BROUGHT it up.
@madeleinelowe5111 ай бұрын
If a young child has a question about genitals, the teacher should tell them to speak about it with their parents and leave it at that. Entertaining a conversation about that is so inappropriate.

Gotta make one more comment. My husband (over 6 feet, deep voice, beard) did some volunteering at our kid’s school. The first time he worked in the nursery part with the 3 year olds, he was the first man the little ones had met at school…so they assumed he was called Miss too 😄 he tried to explain once then thought ‘sod it, 3 year olds don’t understand. They can call me Miss if they want.’ They figured it out eventually but it was pretty adorable. Dunno why I told that story, it just makes me smile.

I was a pre-k teacher in at a private school. The 3-4 year olds I worked with were a lot smarter than the average kids, but even then this whole pronoun shit is just gonna fuck with kids and confuse them. These teachers are so selfish, it’s not about YOU, your job is about the children. If you’re having meltdowns about what gender you want to be called, maybe don’t be a teacher. Kids already have it hard enough, they don’t need an emotionally unstable person teaching them.

@Trinity M Woke-Teachers and the Grooming-Issues were covered by 'some MOre News' in his video about the 'GOP'. So? Whatcha waiting for? Someone gathered a bunch of Evidence and Info and Stuff and put in video-format? Finishing the video is probably what people mean when they say 'being unbiased', yeah? As in 'not just getting info from one Side'? As in 'not just refusing to form your opinion AFTER you examined ALLLLL the Evidence available'?

@demonizedhuman9412 жыл бұрын
@Trinity M Children should not be worrying about adult problems in their childhood. Gender and pronoun stuffs are confusing. Mentally taxing and like Blair said it could confuse them about their own genders too. The mind of little kids could be manipulated easily. So it's Child abuse if Teachers talk to pre-teen children about genders and sexuality imo. That's a discussion the children must when they grow older. A comprehensive class must be given later in their highschool years to better accomodate them.

It is about the CHILDREN, and doing your best to teach the material, as well as things like respect, responsibility, kindness, and integrity. That should be what consumes your preparation for class, not what name or pronoun they address you with.
