@@antiheroine3611it depends on the guy. our brains aren't actually finished developing until your mid twenties. and as time goes on, you gain wisdom by living new experiences and learning new things. that's why people sometimes talk about 30-year-olds like they're better, because they're just objectively more mature on average. (they're also getting to be too tired to fuck around the way 20-somethings do.) so when you get a guy like this, who is clearly aware of how to be in a relationship, but is too detached emotionally to actually _connect_ with her, it's a huge disappointment. given his understanding of relationships, but his bitter attitude towards the values of women, i would wager he's coming from a place of anger. like, i'm getting solid "got cheated on by a longtime partner last year and doesn't realize he hasn't gotten over it yet" vibes. he sees his relationship with this person as being predicated on a lie from the jump, because it's easier to understand "she tricked me because love is a lie" than the idea that the love was real, and she simply betrayed him. that a relationship changes over time. it's more complex. some men will seriously post mean dating advice on tiktok and like, google the signs of emotional abuse rather than get therapy lmao
