A literal powerhouse of a character, tragic in nature, yet admirable in her determination in spite of her awful fate. She carves her name into you through repeated failed attempts, reminding you at the start of each new battle exactly who she is until her name is etched forever in your mind. Beating her is a major accomplishment for most new players. I don't think it's good practice to literally deceive and lie to your audience, but at the same time I do wonder what would happen if they did an experiment and made a difficulty slider than didn't do anything. The trick here is that it doesn't tell you it doesn't do anything. When starting a new game, you get a popup to choose your difficulty, the default being Normal, which would describe itself as "the way the game is meant to be played". Easy mode would tell you about all these different things like more runes, slower boss attacks, fewer enemies, less enemy health/damage. But there wouldn't actually be a difference in the difficulty. I wanna know how many people say they love the game because it's accessible, then trip over themselves when they discover the option does nothing and they were playing the game on the same settings as everyone else (and enjoying it) the entire time

Fun fact just to trigger QTV: there are in fact different difficulty settings in Elden ring which scale the numbers of all encounters. It is called New Game Plus. It only gets harder though. You are automatically playing on the easiest mode in the first playthrough.
