Tried this for the first time today and it kicked my butt! Once I understood just how low to hit the cue ball and with what speed, it got a bit smoother. Started with one ball, moved up to two. It’s going to take a ton of practice, but I can already see how this drill is going to help me. I need a bunch of assistance with cue ball control, so I’m excited to master this. Thank you for sharing! Always look forward to your videos.

Great video. A little note: that's not 22.5°, it's 26.5°. If you split a 45° arc in 2 you get 22.5°, but if you split a straight line it depends on the angle. In this case it's 26.5°.

Too advanced for me 😂 I’m great at calculating but a nightmare at math haha
@smenci
@smenci 2 жыл бұрын
@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen without any advanced math, the explanation with intuition: 2 diamonds is 45°, 1 diamond is not 22.5° just like 4 diamonds (the other side pocket) is not 90°. But this is a video about pool, not about nerdy details, and if knowing those numbers helped the champion would be me. Thank you for teaching us!

Thank you for the drill! The angles though. Two diamonds away from the ball and two diamonds away from the rail = the angle is about 45 degrees. Check. But two diamonds away from the ball and only one away from the rail (so half) = the angle is roughly 27 degrees. I know that these are surpassed with touch and feel, but if and when used they have to be correct.

This is an excellent drill, hard to master the speed though. I've been working on it off and on for a couple of weeks. I am now getting comfortable with it, not perfect but getting there.

Hi, This drill is just critical. To win tournaments, one just must have this type of control and pocketing control. When viewing the runout, from the 9, if you cannot visualize the paths off the rail, how could you accurately layout the run? I will perfect it. Thank you so much

Hello Niel great drill I can't wait to start this drill. I have a question. I have some trouble pocking the 8 ball to win games. Any tips or drills I can work on to help me? Thank you so much. I love all your videos.

Hi lamberto this sounds more like a mental issue then just making shots, because it’s the final ball. Have you seen the terminator-college.com I think for example mental match play can really help you out here. Feel free to contact me also via message on Instagram or my Facebook if you have more questions 👍🏼👍🏼😄

Great drill Niels, I did a few of those shots in matches before and always scratch in the side pocket. My ball control is a little poor at the moment. But great content man.

Yeah we’ve all done that. Bit more spin perhaps but still low in the qball. If that doesn’t work then you’ve reached the limit for that particular angle
