I promised a TIHYDP for RE5 a long time ago, it was a poll winner. I didn't do the original, but thankfully I was able to endure this gem. Enjoy.

It's not even her fault. There's no real reason to outright hate Sheva beyond the AI, and while I get frustrated with her from time to time, I'm still aware that it's the game's fault and not her own. It happens when you play as her too; Chris' partner AI is no different from Sheva's. I'm kind of bummed that she never appeared again, and if that's because of the complaints about her AI, I am gonna slap Phyl since he contributed to her reputation.

Fun very little known thing about this game. Sheva actually has a trust level that can increase when doing things like thanking her when she saves you or complimenting her shooting. It can also lower I believe when you are greedy with your ammo or consistently take a long time to rescue them multiple times. If it’s higher I think they tend to rescue you faster and share more of their ammo. So she must be at like the lowest trust level with Phil lol

I know a lot of people talk shit about it because it 'strays away from what Resident Evil is', but aside from that, I couldn't see anything really wrong with it. The graphics were nice, the gameplay was solid - if a bit repetitive at times - and the story... well, let's face it - Resident Evil has always had corny plots and dialogue, so can't really fault it there.

Actually, I liked this one for (mostly) keeping the horror elements from 4 (mostly in the starting town, the village with the guys in masks, and the part with lickers (There may be more, I haven't played in a year or two and I'm only at the village in the HD remaster)) it's just it got to the point where there was more action than horror later on, which ended up leading into 6 (which I don't hate, but I do feel should've had quite a bit more horror). And in terms of gameplay, this game is so fun for me it's pretty much addictive.

Same as above, I liked how it started out, and while certain parts of the later portion of the game were fine, it generally boiled down into action with clunky controls. Nonetheless, still an amazing game, love it to death, but 4 is the best Action/Horror Hybrid of the series IMO. I love farming ammo and stuff in this game though. Good game, but definitely a (moderate) departure from classic RE formula.

Yeah... I Played through RE5 probably as often als RE4, maybe even more. I loved the 2 player feature, just give your friend the second controller and have fun. RE4 was still scarry and you allways felt threatened because of the close up shoulder perspective and all. yes, they werent like the classic games, but it was just a fun game to play through with a friend in a weekend gameing session. the only thing i really hated was how they offed wesker at the end. its seemed so rushed and stupid. anyway i played through the Leon campaign in RE6, what i allready had to push myself to and after that i left the game alone.

but god damn. says ai is braindead. misses half the guns. buys them later. hoards ammo. doesnt use sheva to her full potential... like pro tip for newbies give sheva the pistol. shotgun. sniper. so the m92f the m37 ithaca. and the s75 she is now set for life. and only focus on upgrading max ammo count. for yourself use the vz61 most broken gun ingame. just tap a zombie in the head and spam [] i beat the entire game like this on my first try. never had any ammo issues. because smg ammo is so plentifull you will eventually have 2000 bullets.

Phil saying that a game sucks when he playing badly isn't meant to be taken literally. It's just him getting worked up in some particular moment. Many people get worked up when they're failing at something and then they say it sucks, but that doesn't mean they truly believe that thing actually sucks. Think of it as an emotional response. For example, Phil has died almost a thousand times across all of the Souls games, so you'd think that he'd hate the series with a passion. Yet he continues to buy them and beat them regardless of how well he does.

He actually sounded VERY laudatory after finishing Silent Hill 2, as the credits were rolling. And I'm pretty sure he liked the first two seasons of Telltale's Walking Dead. He also recorded two playthroughs of The Last of Us (original and remastered) because he apparently liked it so much...he also seemed to kinda understand what was going on in the last scene of that game, which is something of a surprise considering his limited attention span. Resident Evil Code: Veronica also...I remember him commenting at one point near the end that he was really enjoying it, despite his horrible resource management and that fucking hilarious struggles he had with the Tyrant plane fight and the Nosferatru boss.

Phil doesn't know that the game gives you items depending What statues you are in if you are hurt and dont have healing items the game gives your healing items with increased rate same goes for ammo if you have no extra ammo for it its an exploitable system but of course it has some fixed things like in Chapter 3-1 you can get 12 Magnum Bullets and a Magnum. Phil don't noticed it besides everyone who said Sheva burns through ammo they are right but give her Pistol ammo because you get a ton of that typ even if you have no Pistole in your inventory and later switch to the Stun rode then you can give her all weapons but she wont use them because in cover mode she only uses the weakest weapon wich is the stun rode and she will always follow you making her basicly extra 6 slots in your inventory.

joe broye Honestly you can farm everything in this game so why not give her ammo and the pistol but DSP doesn't know thisso i give you this tip because i whould not like to help DSP. Tip: in every checkpoint you can do restart clear out your inventory and Stage 3-1 you can farm Money and the second half you can Farm Magnum Bullets and get the Magnum for free everytime.

What sucks the most is that he will 'never' play this again becuase, 'views views views' are all that matters to DSP. a shame, because post game is when RE5 gets good. you unlock sheva, chris's minigun, and her bow if you fully upgrade the Skorpion. and that bow is the most OP weapon in the damn game! for 50k you get Infinite ammo right of the bat, it hits like a train, annihilates bosses like a magnum and staggers anything it hits like a shotgun. I've gone through the enitre game on professional using nothing but the bow because its so damn good once you get the aim down.

You're welcome. I played the original when it came out on PS3. I first had my problems but then also made professional. Was fun with all the upgraded weapons. Nioh or Souls are nightmares. No time to practice for hours no more ... RE5 at least gave some help with unlimited ammo etc.

Parts of this game is really awesome. Like the beginning with the people staring at you. Too bad the game fell so flat compared to RE4. And the ai at times... so horrible to play with... The story, also forgetable. But yea fighting Wesker in a volcano is quite spectacular, but give me creepy dark mansions and cultists attacking me over that.

Eh I would almost say RE4 was leaning on 70% action. I wouldn't call those many tense moments horror. It had the advantage of being able to make you alone at times though. The scary moments were still fairly few and far between, you had the invisible bugs, Salazars right hand dude, Regenerators...sure the first time you see a plaga it creeps you out but after you see those guys a million times it gets to be same old. Still had times where you're fending off guys with turrets and guns, all it was missing was a cover mechanic. Despite that though the horror when it was there was done well and I had no issue feeling like an action hero at times lol.
