Escaping To A Mountain Hot Springs Hideaway

Trinity Hot Springs. No matter how many times I go up, down and all around Idaho, there’s still new places to find. Places hidden in valley’s, next to rivers, and under the pine tree's. Actually, to be more specific, Trinity Hot Springs is hidden down the road from the town of Pine, about 2 and a half hours from Boise. How I’ve lived so close to this place for so long and never even heard of it boggles my mind. At 2.2 miles below the surface, Trinity is the deepest known water source on earth. Not just in Idaho… on the entire planet! It’s the only certified “Naturliches Heilwasser” - a natural health water - in North America. The uniquely deep spring water is recognized as such by the Institut Fresenius in Europe - the international authority on free-flowing spring sources of exceptional purity that contain beneficial minerals. Long story short its some seriously special water, claimed to have healing powers. But Trinity Hot Springs is more than just a soak, it’s an entire experience.

Now one thing that can get a little confusing is how much it costs to soak. I’ll try to explain it to you now, but you can find more information online. Trinity requires an annual membership for everyone who soaks. Even if you want to drop in for a quick dip, if it’s your first soak of the year, you're gonna have to purchase a membership. Cost is $25 for adults, $20 for kids, and $15 for toddlers. Those dues include your fist soak of the year. After paying your annual membership, every soak during the following year requires you to purchase a day pass which is $15 for adults, $10 for kids, and $5 for toddlers. They also offer other spa amenities at Trinity such as Massage, Yoga, Reflexology and more. Check the website for pricing and to book those activities ahead of time, along with your lodging if you plan to stay the night.

I've been many times and this place is awesome!! My grandmother used to live in Featherville and we would go and spend the weekend at Paradise. The last time I went was in 2006 and all I can say is I had a profound experience there. I witnessed something that I still cannot fully explain. I'm just going to ask has anyone else seen the ghost that wears the cowboy hat? Strange question I know.

This place priced itself out of most locals budget. Used to take the kids during the afternoon when up there for hunting. Now it’s so expensive that we just go to the springs along the river.

@@JonConti not really sure as I'm not really familiar with that area, and it was about 8 years ago when I went camping with some friends up at pine. Most of my time is spent in the magic valley. Lots of great stuff to explore here as well.

My wife and I went for the first time last spring. It's an amazing place. No matter how clean you are when you get in the water, you feel cleaner when you get out.

Bergdorf is magical! Definitely rent a cabin for the night. I can't wait to go back this summer..... unless you have a snowmobile it is impossible to visit in the winter.

It hasn’t always been a public place. For a while a company bottled water from there to sell. Prior to that, I think it was private.

I think you're right. There's remnants of what you're saying there. Like, they still have a cooler with the bottled water and you still need "membership" to get in. Which is just you have to pay an extra $10 your first soak.

Mister Smartypants I was just there last night doing some night skiing 😀. We haven’t yet, we want to go all out on that one since it’s our home mountain. We did do an episode on bogus in the summer which will be coming out in the spring.

Hahaha Hot farts! I try to tell people if a hot springs smells like hot farts 😀. The springs in Idaho city got cleaned up, I couldn’t smell it when we were there in the fall. Sometimes the smell of hot farts is just the price you pay!
