Wait a moment: Caligula was in power for only about four years. If he was emperor when Nero was a child, he could not be still alive 10 years later. Somehow the timeline seems off. This is obviously not meant to be a historical documentary.

Nero became emperor at age 16 in 54 AD ( Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus). Aka Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. He reigned from age 16 - age 30 yrs. I took 5 years of Latin only reason I remember their weird names!!! Yes, I agree this movie is not historically correct. Nero killed his mother and had 5 wives, a couple of which he also had killed,then committed suicide later. However entertaining.
