I'm legitimately tearing up now. You can tell how passionate she is about voice acting, it comes across so naturally and it is beautiful. Definitely gonna check out some of the stuff she's in. She has my respect. Edit : I've been watching the Re:Zero dub, its really good and her Rem is one of the best parts of it. Really strong performance overall.

I'm really thankful that games like Fire Emblem introduced me to a lot of these amazing and underappreciated English voice actors. I was admitadly one of those people that would only ever watch anime with Japanese subtitles because I refused to give the English dubs a fair shot. The negative stigma people would associate with English dubs kept me away for the longest time. Nevertheless, I now find myself watching more anime dubbed. I find myself being much more engaged watching in a language I understand and being able to truly appreciate the performances. Trying new things and broadening your horizons and straying away from your comfort zone can be a truly magnificent thing. I absolutely love Brianna's work and this video was a treat to watch from start to finish.
@Hatchumosc15 жыл бұрын
Nice to see you've seen the light. I mean if you know Japanese then sure, watch it in Japanese. If you know English then why read everything? Can always (well, usually) pick up a manga for that. This is generally speaking of course. Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop are obviously better in English and One Piece is obviously better in Japanese (the actual acting anyway), but it's usually not worth it to take yourself out of the experience by listening to a language you don't know and having to always have your attention toward the bottom of the screen. And yeah, many of the English voice actors are great!

I have great respect for this person and any other dub artist it takes alot work and these people try their hardest on these shows or video games. I hope we continue to see them, and more new aspiring actors to bring more quality to dub anime and voice acting in games, We are all supporting you.

I wish you the best of luck! I plan on going into that field too, but it is going to be at least 4 years before I can afford and travel across the country without worry. I won't be able to hop in for some time but it is an amazing and inspiring path to move onto and it is completely worth any risk it brings. I hope you manage to push through and thrive, and who knows, I might see you in a video like this a couple years forward.

It's great to see others also inspired to go into this profession and wish you the best of luck also. tbh it’s sad how people always make fun of dub actors or say all dubs are bad when they haven’t given a chance. there are many talented actors who put their effort into the characters they are casted as. not only that but dubs were the whole reason how anime became popular in the West. The Re:Zero dub cast are amazing. Sean Chiplock does an amazing job as Subaru like his counterpart ( Subaru is his first main character role ) as well as the rest of the cast. Kayli Mills does a great job as Emilia and I’m pretty sure she’s only voiced a few anime characters and some games. It’s sad how people don’t give dubs a chance because of the poor quality back then. Dubs have improved greatly, to the point where people in Japan do show some Dubs on premieres, etc.
@tomatooverlord27646 жыл бұрын
Technically speaking, Subaru is Sean's second main character role. It's his first role as the main character in an anime, but he also plays Rean Schwarzer, the protagonist of the Trails of Cold Steel video game series.

This was amazingly well put together and VERY interesting to watch. I don't really care for dub animes as the voice acting is/can be horrible.(This is my opinion, I do LOVE some dub anime) I am sad to hear that it is a very tight little circle of people that get to dub anime cos most of them are HORRIBLE and I HOPE more people like Brianna can break through that tight circle and give us some seriously good ACTING. I have and LOVE 7deadlysins in dub/sub. But after watching this video I seriously want to watch re;zero's dub and check out Brianna's role as REM. Thank you!

Lip flaps? Thats when you have to voice act & try to time your lines when the character speaks right? Man that must be challenging as heck.
@JacobWilsonVO6 жыл бұрын
Thomas Fernandez I did that in a va class and it's very challenging. Especially when toy still have to act upon that. The most difficult part is tempo and fitting the sentence in that space. Sure they can change it if it isn't working and they can alter the recording it a little, but if you don't get it down then it can't be fixed.
@tdfern16 жыл бұрын
Jacob Wilson I see. That said, you have to sprak very fast then, just to get the rhythm down? you were a voice actor? have you voiced any shows or games by any chance?
@JacobWilsonVO6 жыл бұрын
Thomas Fernandez no it's all about matching tempo. Sometimes you speak fast or slow. It all depends on the scene. And I just took the class so far. Haven't voice acted in anything
@GreatDinn6 жыл бұрын
Thomas Fernandez It used to be way harder, before digital recording was the norm. Things can be checked and slid around to make the flaps fit better, but it's still fairly difficult.
@Gyeseongyeon6 жыл бұрын
I've worked on one fandub for around a 5 minute scene before. If you're somehow able to watch what you're gonna be dubbing many times over, imo matching to flaps isn't too bad. Of course, that's not really a luxury for most actors dubbing anime; afaik, most are not able to watch the OG Japanese material beforehand, so they pretty much have to do everything on the fly (with a little guidance from the director, of course).
