Best reaction ever for this track... I've seen so many and heard this song so many times but watching your eyes well up each time made it feel like the first time I heard it again. I was right there with you with each emotion. The arrangement is a perfect story in musical notes of a toxic relationship that we keep going back to. There's good, there's bad which is the softness in the chorus and the aggression in the verses is the bad. It's a rollercoaster until he can't take it anymore and lets it all out at the end. Perfection.

For me this is what musicianship is all about, Ronnie is doing what has been missing since MTV quit playing videos, this a true short film masterpiece, I mean my god the visuals alone are stunning, much less how well it weaves a story, and then to have a song that powerful and wonderfully written to go along with it!! Okay I was reading through some of the comments hoping someone would tell the back story of this song. Ronnie used to be heavy in to drugs. In 2008 he was present (not involved!!) In a shooting and he was incarcerated for two and a half years and 5 years on probation. While he was in prison he wrote The Drug In Me Is You and that entire album actually while detoxing off of heroin. Also while he was incarcerated he was kicked out of his own band that he created called Escape The Fate. And there was a lot of anger towards the band. Which eventually they made up and became friends and eventually went on an entire tour together. It's very heartbreaking being a fan for many years and hearing this and knowing the back story is even more gut wrenching. I love him. And I LOVE your reaction. That was the same reaction I had. Lol. As others have already mentioned, Within Temptation is perfect for this channel. I would suggest Memories by them. Great song all around

I close my eyes and I hear what Lestat should have sounded like from The Queen of the Damned. Incredible range and powerful lyrics.

While I totally love the guy who did lestat singing voice I also agree ronnie would have also done it justice and been great
@christopherbritton18404 жыл бұрын
@@Azrael-the-immortalI agree, Jonathan Davis of Korn did the vocals and wrote the music for the movie and was incredible in it, but Ronnie to me has something extra special in his voice that would fit Lestat.

Agreed. Can we get a Queen of the Damned remake with Ronnie?!

Great reaction Elizabeth. Have to recommend Courtney Laplante, Spiritbox // Rule of Nines (Live one take vocal performance)

Yessss! Or live one take of holy roller

Love me some Spiritbox, but I don't think Courtney displays a ton of singing range. Mostly just soft singing with a ton of backing vocals and then screaming. She's good, just not diverse.
@AlexanderPochertPiano4 жыл бұрын
@@elewojo This is not true at all, she is one of the most diverse metal singers out there. You can check a video by kardavox analysing her singing. "Some screaming" - believe me, there is much, much more behind her voice.

I hesitate to request this after such a beautiful song, but could you possibly do an AC/DC song? Thunderstruck, for preference. I'd love to know how Brian Johnson managed to do that pretty much non-stop for around 35 years, yet when he left the band, it was due to deafness, not any loss of voice.
