The premise of ‘Overrated vs Underrated’ in these videos doesn’t work as well because the guys are assuming the public opinion, and then using their own opinion. But they assumption of the public opinion is biased by their prediction as well. What they should do is allow the fans of the Club to vote how good a player is (Example: Terrible, bad, average, good, great, world class), and the guys can then react to that saying ‘the fans think De Brunye is World class, I don’t so I think he’s overrated.

He has no weak feet, he’s a good dribbler, he’s fast, he has a great shot on him and also a great cross plus he’s one of the most clinical finishers in football. Yes he’s been awful this season but he had 33 goal involvements last season and 28 the year before. Prior to that he was getting +20 each season ( for 4 seasons straight) even when he played a lot less minutes. And this is whilst playing for Spurs who haven’t exactly been pulling up trees for a long time. You can’t disregard 6 good seasons because of 1 bad one.

The moment I relalised De Bruyne was slightly overrated was when he won PFA player of the year in 2021 despite being injured for large portions of the season, missing around 10-12 games I think.
