She was excited to have caught one and stabbed it to death. Then I asked her what she did with the body. ....because fox fur could possibly be used for something. Back in the 70's, after my Grandpa had gotten older, he couldn't stand shooting or killing anything. (He was country folk and had hunted when he was younger). After he noticed the rabbits were eating his lettuce, he decided to plant a whole back row of lettuce just for them. They gorged themselves back there and never bothered the rows he grew for himself closer to the house! He was quite proud of that!

@Magare Govedo it may be surprising but animals can love too. humans aren't the only creatures capable of feeling emotions and having bonds. see also: animals passing away of sadness when someone they were attached to dies, or animals not eating because they are too depressed their owner isn't there. and using a cat I knew as an example, he would always meow and purr at us when we came to visit him because he was lonely after my great grandmother passed away. so please, stop with your mentality that you are somehow superior because you can speak and say I love you, you are literally no better than a monkey in terms of showing affection and you know it.

Then you would have a groundhog infestation, they multiply quickly like other rodents, they also carry diseases and they do a lot of property damage. We had a a huge infestation, about 150-200 groundhogs, they decimated all our crops, destroyed our porch and siding of our house. It all started because of our neighbor who had them on their property and fed them well, unfortunately he got sick and moved in with his daughter out of state, we had a small family farm and now being hungry they migrated to us, We had no choice but to use poison to kill them, bastards are pretty cute but they have a huge appetite and with numbers they become unleased monsters.

That is so cool that you decided to feed them instead of killing them like most people would have. I love animals.

This video demonstrates how the human people reach out and accept that they share space with the animal people. In this case, a groundhog family. We all have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and we care for our children. Hats off to you brother, you are an exemplary citizen of the planet.

@ericacross7337yea raccoons are incredibly smart and their hands are similar to ours so they can manipulate things much like we can so keeping them out of places they want to be in is very difficult. When they find something they want they’ll get to it somehow. They won’t just stay in a sectioned off area if he did something like this though. They know there’s food and they’ll come back as long as it’s there. Good luck to you guys. If I was you I’d get animal control out or hire someone to relocate them.
