It’s originally the French word for “gathering”. In French adding a z after an e makes it a short vowel sound and adding an s after an ou combo makes the “oo” sound instead of the “ow” sound like it would be in English.

Okay so when widowmaker stabbed black widow. Yes stabbing will go through Kevlar. Kevlar is actually just a really strong plastic. Any stabbing weapons will cut through it. Thought it should be said only stabbing will get through. Trying to slice with a knife won't work

There aren't any spoilers for the two films in the next Death Battle, especially since it aired around the same time those films premiered in theaters. The Captain Marvel film premiered on March 8, 2019. Shazam premiered on April 8, 2019. The Death Battle premiered on April 10, 2019.

Despite all of Homecoming being about how alien DEBRIS is incredibly valuable cause you can make crazy shit with it. DECADES! Thor was supposed to be first contact for a reason, and they just bumped him off by DECADES. That has repercussions on the entire timeline!

A little info on the Marvels Captain Marvel/Shazam (Billy) is a magical superman who gets his powers from the Gods via an ancient wizard named SHAZAM. Since he's a DC Comics character, he can't call himself Captain Marvel and is using the wizard's name. Billy is actually a kid who transforms into an Adult hero. In Young Justice (animated series), this helped when a bunch of evil wizards separated the world into adult only and child only worlds. In Flashpoint Paradox (movie) this was a weakness as Wonder Woman slaughtered him (and the other kids that made up the alternate timeline Shazam) Captain Marvel (Carol) is a badass air force pilot who got caught up in weird Marvel comics adventures. She meet an Kree warrior Mar-Vel, who was Captain Marvel until he died of cancer. A random alien machine resulted in Carol gaining cosmic powers complete with a super mode Binary. In the movies, she is the heroine of her own movie and is the only reason Iron Man survived the beginning of Endgame. She also wrecked all of Thanos stuff in the later part of the film.

This battle was great but what i'm really waiting for a few death battles between a few OP! characters DC VS Marvel characters 1. Scarlet Witch ( Wanda Maximoff ) of Marvel vs Raven of DC . Similarity of them is there two powerful sorceress of strong chaotic magic who's powers intensity depends on there mental state and who's destiny has been manipulated from birth by INSANELY powerful interdimensional demos that are a major source of there power seeking to use them as vessels or harbingers for conquering earth and the main universe. 2. Ion ( Green Lantern Kyle Reiner with the emotional spectrum entity of will Ion ) vs Phoenix ( Jean Grey With the Phoenix Force ) Similarity of them they both dealt with traumatic deaths that shaped there person and down the line of there hero carriers were vessels for EXTREMELY powerful entities though growth they learned to archive the full power with there connections to primordial forces of life. Kyle was overwhelmed at first but mastered the Emotional Spectrum overtime and achieve connection to the White Light of Life and became the White Lantern later on discovering he had unique strong connection to the White Light and the Life Equation the positive aspect of The Source DC's omniversal force of creation and destruction beyond the multiverse. His bond to the White Light was forcefully undone by Dr. Manhattan but a glimpse of the future way before that was shown that he would get carried away with the power and impose his will on life . Jean bonded With the Pheonix Force many times as it was drawn to her Jean being a perfect host for it. In peace thy were a green suit version called Phoenix At many times drove her crazy but eventually making her an emotionally over whelmed dark version The Dark Phoenix but when she reaches perfect harmony with the Phoenix she's White Phoenix of the Crown and can use the full power of the Phoenix and the Phoenix Force is an omniversal force of rebirth (creation and destruction) that is the representation of life that is was or ever will. It is charged with healing or destroying and recreating broken universes in a place beyond the multiverse. She gave it up cause they were to toxic together and severed the bond. Theres a few more matches I want but this is too long already 😂. Got wrapped up explaining why they would be good matches.

Yes Shazam was originally Captain Marvel. If you look it up there are actually multiple legal issues attached to the character. DC sued Fawcett for plagiarism over copying Superman and ended up owning the character but didn't use him for anything cause of a decline in superhero comics, they brought him back later but by that time Timely Comics had become Marvel and DC had let the copyright expire on the name, leading to Marvel making their OWN Captain Marvel. This is why Marvel can only go so many years without a character using the name so DC doesn't reclaim the legal rights, hence the Shazam rebranding. Plus there were one or two other uses of the name that never made a big enough impact to be remembered. And all that is without touching on the counterpart issues that came from DC being upset over Wonder Man, before unveiling Power Girl. This led to characters like Spider-woman, She-hulk, and Ms. Marvel being created literally so Marvel could copyright the names.

This is one of the few matchups that I’m not very qualified to weigh in on from an objective position, as while I’m a ginormous superhero nerd (as I think has been repeatedly proven) I know literally nothing about Overwatch beyond what’s been presented to me in Death Battle, and I’ll never know more because Activision Blizzard do not deserve my patronage. I will say that it seems accurate based on the information presented to us, and of course comic books are crazy strong even when they’re a “normal human” hero. In fact Marvel’s normal humans I think outpace DC’s by a wide margin. The fight itself was beautifully animated, but the action and choreography left quite a bit to be desired. It just wasn’t that exciting to me, so this is one I never find myself going back to rewatch. Captain Marvel vs Shazam (or as I call it, Captain Marvel vs Captain Marvel because I refuse to call him Shazam) is one that I think is perfectly fine for you to watch. You already saw Cpt Marvel vs Android 18 and there’s nothing in this one you didn’t already learn back then, and there’s nothing really to spoil you if you wanted to watch the Shazam movie. It’s completely approachable for you. I see a fair number of people saying that DC changed their Captain Marvel to Shazam due to losing the legal rights to the name and that’s not really true. The first appearance of Marvel’s Captain Marvel (not Carol Danvers but the first use of that hero name) was December 1976 while Fawcett Comics debuted their Captain Marvel as a direct competitor to Superman in February 1940, several decades before Marvel’s. DC didn’t purchase Fawcett Comics until 1991, though they had licensed the properties since 1972. No matter which dates you look at, DC had the rights to Captain Marvel before Marvel Comics did. However where we start getting into legal issues is not with character names, but publishing names. The names of the actual books themselves. Due to Marvel publishing their books under the name “Captain Marvel” and copyrighting the name for the *books,* DC had to title their Captain Marvel books something else so they went with “Shazam” (the name of the wizard who gave him his power, and also the magic word he uses to transform). In the earliest Shazam books you’ll even see the tagline, “The Original Captain Marvel” printed on it, so there was definitely some saltiness between the companies. Anyway, with the New 52 reboot of the DC universe, they saw an opportunity to rebrand many of their properties. So even though they legally were under no requirement to change Captain Marvel’s name, they did it anyway as part of their relaunch, in order to distance themselves from the old image and any misconceptions about relations to Marvel as a company. Thus Captain Marvel no longer existed and instead he took on the name of the wizard that gave him his powers (which honestly feels MORE confusing to me, but whatever I’m not a comic book industry CEO so what the eff do I know?).

And personally I didn't care if the rest of the characters lived or died in the movie. So it was an ok movie.
