Taylor Swift - All Too Well (10 Minute Version) The Younger Time can hold back the years in your heart, time can roll out the years if you’re stuck in the past, at times you look for the younger fruit, passing the ripeness for the zest, the quest for the dashed, by the time of hearing the words said, you can turn that to ‘I speak your mind’, always ahead never here, lines drawn never meeting halfway, scratching for the curved ball when I’m right here, right now, here, to nowhere I’ll drive my thoughts through the times when I was there as a shadow on your back, your burden, my reaching another decade, digging in the dirt for newly turned spoils on how to hurt, you say ‘I was only joking’ when you know you were peeling another layer from me, such a whack, thoughts driven erratic when the pedal goes straight to the floor, no brakes now on your black art. Fil, I agree, Taylor is proving a delight. #QcumberSquad #TaylorSwift - Fil, I’m off back to the study.

this song (and the majority of Red) is written about Jake Gyllenhaal. he was 29 and Taylor was 20 turning 21 when they dated hence the references to their age difference. He infamously missed her 21st birthday party which is referenced in the line about her father watching her watch the door waiting for him and saying “it’s supposed to be fun, turning 21.” The line “i’ll get older but your lovers stay my age” is referring to Jake’s patterns of dating much younger girls. he’s currently 40 and his girlfriend is 25… she was 22 when they started dating.

The end of this song guts me when she softly repeats “Down the stairs, I was there I was there. It was rare, I was there I was there.” It’s like she keeps reiterating that this was real and he can’t gaslight her into not remembering what it really was.

It will never not make me angry to know that Jake Gyllenhaal told Taylor that they weren't working out because she was too young and yet he's still dating women now that are a similar age to what she was back then. "You said if we had been closer in age, maybe it would have been fine." "I'll get older but your lovers stay my age."

If you loved this you have to react to her 2 last album called 'folklore' and 'evermore' they are folky/pop with deep lyrics. i'm so glad you chose to react to the 10 minute version. this song was released in 2012 and it's about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal from when they dated for 3 months in 2010. it became the fans most favorite song by hers. the song length is 6 minute long when the album came out. but Taylor mentioned back then that the song is originally 10 minute long but she edited out some verses because as she put it: "you can't put a 10 minute song on an album" so because it became a fan fav the fans have begged her to record this full original version

I have been trying to put into words why her voice is so affecting. And I think it’s because you listen to her and you feel like you know her. She has this voice that is so accessible. She doesn’t do a lot of runs, she doesn’t have a lot of pyrotechnics, but what she has is his beautiful personality that shines through and feels intimate.

What's wrong with the patriarchy? You can't honestly take that stance. It's one thing to argue that we don't live in a patriarchy, another entirely to suggest that there is nothing wrong with one. You do know what a patriarchy is, right? A patriarchy is a societal system that values men and masculinity over women and femininity. It literally exists to oppress women for the benefit of men. A patriarchy inherently is a harmful system. Both to men and women, but especially to women. It is not only oppressive but actively harmful. It allows and encourages men to feel disrespect towards women to the point of raping, causing violence to and killing women at a completely uneven rate. It causes women to live in fear. To hold keys between hands to get to the car, text each other when they get home and a thousand other rituals that every woman practices that men rarely feel the need to. Then it further disrespects the women who were harmed by suggesting it was somehow their fault and their abusers don't deserve to have their lives ruined via jail time. Causing them to further live in fear. Saying 'what's wrong with the patriarchy' is unbelievably ignorant. Your stance maintains the current oppression and shows that you have no interest in changing a world that benefits you so well. Grow up and look outside of yourself for once.

Okay Bethany. Thanks for the character attack even though you don’t know me from a bar of soap. You just see a man and you immediately hate them, trust me I know the type. However, do you want have a proper civil debate on this or do you just want to throw your bitterness around? I’m happy to debate this with you but I’m not going to waste my time if all you want to do is insult me and call me ignorant (which is ironic as I did nothing but ask a question - just because you don’t like the question doesn’t make the person asking it ignorant, that is ignorant Bethany). Just shows the bitter position you coming from. But if you want to do this civilly I’ll humour you and I’ll dissect your position sentence by sentence with pleasure. You let me know?
@bethanywilson38673 жыл бұрын
@@traktician So I don't know you from a bar of soap but you "know the type". A little hypocritical there. I don't hate men, the reason I clicked on this video is because I enjoy watching men be willing to enjoy something that is stereotypically considered feminine and I like Taylor Swift. I was enjoying your reaction and had no problem with you up until you asked your "question". Frankly, I have no desire to debate you, I have seen how you engaged with the other women who were upset with this comment. You completely disregarded them so I see no value in spending my time on you further as I'm sure you will do the same to me. I only wished for another girl who saw your video and felt offended to see that your statement had been challenged. I'm hoping that you are not so willing to silence a woman's opinion that you would delete my comment. Leaving that decision with you. Also, backing up and pretending what you said was merely a harmless question is quite calculated of you. It is not merely a question, and you know that, it's like a university paper that is written as a question but directs you to the opinion that the marker wants you to take. Your implication and rather direct position, based on the other comments you've left, is that there isn't anything wrong with the patriarchy, or even that having a patriarchy is a good thing. And it's 2021, to make such an implication can definitely be considered ignorant (perhaps willingly so in this case), given all the resources and research and data that has been found to back up the fact that women are oppressed deeply in our society. As another female commenter said, and I implore you please 'educate yourself.' We don't want to hate you, we want your allyship. Anyway, I'll let you have the last say so people can think you got the upper hand here if they ever see this interaction because I won't be replying. Enjoy.

Its a perfect line, because not only is she referencing the fact that he used the age gap as a reason, but he never laughed at her jokes, didn’t think she was funny, rolled his eyes at her.
