You two bless my soul. I peaked into KZbin today to say thanks for the shout out. Heard Teresa (me) being given credit several times. I appreciate you both, Kaylee and Brigette, for hearing the calling, following the divine guidance and coming over the mountain to play, learn and launch. When I encourage my students to begin their own Apothecary, watch out!! This is what happens. The Honeystead continues to prove a wonderful source of teaching and sharing herbal education on a community level. Even world wide homesteaders community. So proud you were my students! love ya, Teresa💚🍃

I just need to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! For every single second you put into this channel. I've learned ton already from just the short time I've been following so far. So glad I found y'all. I'm a disabled Veteran and decided to tell the VA to kick rocks with their medicine so I could tackle my health naturally and more dependably. The past 8ish months of being clean from their pharmaceuticals have been truly enlightening and I've never felt better. It's past time I get back to my roots and make my own medicine for myself and my loved ones. I adore you ladies and so happy to have found your channel. ❤️🔥 Again, thank you. If you know of any good remedies for GERD and Pilonidal Cysts, please please please share! I've been looking around and doing some research but haven't really struck gold with any of the resources I have. ❤️🔥

Thank you so much for sharing! I love watching you both. I feel like I have walked a similar path with your mom as we share the same loves and books it seems. I can relate. I am a level 2 Aromatherapist(meaning I can prescribe) It's so nice to see you both tackling this together. I will be praying for you both on your journey. I do have a side question on your bee keeping. How labor intensive is it in terms of time and how often to take care of them? I have not ventured into that area and was thinking about it. I live north of Nashville, TN area and I don't know of many that are homesteading around here. Although, it seems many are talking about it.
@brigittemiller50732 жыл бұрын
Beekeeping does take some time and definitely some expenses… I have shared that the least expensive hives run about $225 and if you can catch a swarm bees are free or you purchase and that is $100-$200 depending on what you get. Time about 1/2 -1 hour per hive every couple of weeks.

Thanks for sharing some of your library! I wanted to mention a favorite books of mine that you might like~~ Backyard Medicine by Matthew Seal and Julie Bruton-Seal. Love that book. I also wanted to ask if you guys are using Chaga mushroom (David Wolf has a good book about it...)? We discovered it several years ago and keep a crock pot of chaga tea (I feel it's more like coffee~~with a vanilla flavor.) going all the time. Great adaptogen. Great for just about anything that ails ya. ;) We find it here in WV, which is nice because I focus on herbs that we can access readily versus ordering from outside sources. Since you spoke about getting into mushrooms, I thought I'd mention my favorite. ;) Boy, oh boy are you right about the importance of nutrition! When people ask herbal advice I make sure to tell them that taking tinctures and drinking teas won't help much if they're living on doughnuts and drive-thru. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!

Need some info. Have Nicole Apelian The foragers guide to wild foods. I am new to all this herbal stuff. And can not afford very many books. Nicole Apelian other books. She has the lost book of herbal remedies. The holistic guide to wellness. A reference guide to surviving nature. Hubby says we can try and get a book for Christmas. Do you know anything about her from your field of study. Basically is she the real deal. I want to learn to make my own medicines. And write down a lot of you remedies. Or a really good book on making tinctures salves and things. One that might be more affordable for me. Even half price books are getting to expensive. Live in a rural out of the way place. And getting to a library is not feasible with gas prices

Great video ladies. I just found your channel. I am a student of herbal studies in Canada. An absolute requirement for my program is 'Botany in a Day', by Thomas J. Elpel. This is invaluable for identifying plant families in North America. You won't be sorry to include this book in your inventory. Plants families are identified by DNA, making it easier for the herbalist to avoid selecting substitutions if sensitivities/allergies are known. I also would like to suggest 'The Healing Garden' by Juliet Blankespoor and 'Foraging and Feasting' by Dina Falconi. Both of these are favourites of mine. I just subscribed, and am looking forward to future videos. Blessings from Canada 🍁

I want to eventually help people around me but first want to prove to myself this does work. How would a herbalist make a good argument on why it actually does work? I understand that it’s SUPPORT and not an actual solution to what medical grade medicine can do for people who have serious conditions/illnesses. I guess I’m worried about coming off as WOOWOO to people instead of wanting to help people feel better in a natural way.
