My mothers brother, my uncle, served in WW2 in the Philippines. He spoke very highly of the Filipino people. He said they were strong, tough and never gave up. He also spoke of how good natured the people were. He said once he didn't know how they managed to get by on so little but they did and he greatly admired them for it. This made my day! I support a family in the Philippines and they were hit hard and forced out of their mountain home by the terrible typhoons, but are now thankfully back growing mais on the family farm. As soon as they are old enough the children leave home to try to find work to support their family and this can be particularly difficult for the girls who are young and vulnerable. Pea, I wish you every success with this project although I hope they can go on living their simple, happy life without too much interference as they have done wonders thus far. I look forward to seeing more of them in your future videos (and would love to see the school at some stage, if that's at all possible) 🐑

Wow! My heart really got the warm fuzzies from watching this, Pea. Especially when you announced the best gift of all - a new house! VERY GENEROUS!!! ❤ I don't know the correct spelling for those critters, so I'll refer to them as cows. When you asked about the new baby cow's name, I immediately thought of "Veal," like naming a new pig "Bacon" or "Ham." Lol! I know, shame on me. But after all, you did ask if they eat the cows when they get too old. Which prompted another thought. One cow would be a lot of meat, more than they could eat in one meal. And without electricity, they don't have a refrigerator to store the extra meat. So, if I can make a suggestion please? Solar power for the house so that they can have electricity for a refrigerator. However, if I remember correctly, you once said that solar panels have to be imported, making them too expensive. So maybe some kind of wind turbines. They make them small enough (about the size of a large trash can) and meant to be placed on a roof instead of on top of a tall pole. If those would be too expensive to import, perhaps something could be improvised (like MacGyver would) and hooked up to a generator. The smiles on the girls' faces upon getting the toys, especially while sitting in their castle... priceless and precious! ❤ When you mentioned taking stuff to school for projects, it gave me a flashback to my being an elementary school teacher, especially when I was my school's hands-on Science Lab Teacher. We did all kinds of projects in my lab every week: noisemakers, plastic cup guitars, tornado bottles, paper helicopters, circular paper airplanes, moving cartoons that take only one piece of paper to make, edible "spiders" made of marshmallows & thin pretzel sticks, ice cream, Mathemagic magic cards, solar tea, etc. I had as much fun as my students when I was the Science Lab Teacher. 🙂 See you later, Pea! The kindness you are showing to this family and others on your videos is amazing. Of course the woman of the house and the children obviously appreciated all the gifts, you can see it in their eyes and smiles. I am curious about the father, he does not show emotions like the others of course, but did he speak to you off camera and tell you what is in his heart ? Not that he should feel lesser, but sometimes pride of providing for a family means a lot to the man of the house. What are his thoughts about the charity/gifts they were given ?
