I am one of the top 10% skilled people in my industry and when it came to the price I always fold so far down I am at novice prices.... just in the last 3 weeks watching his videos and buying the contracts, legal docs from the site.. I have gotten almost double my normal fees on every sale. Next year I know without doubt I will have tripled my income. Love it, and thank you. 3 days after this post.... new call this morning guy wanting to spend a really low fee to work with a cheap website platform. Normally, I would have said yes and then been through a month of stressful underpaid slavery just to get the business. Instead... I pulled my **** together and said "Here's what "I" want to do to help you make more money next year. I want to put you into a better platform for X reasons and I want 25% more on the monthly fee. Is that something you can even afford if it worked out to your benefit?" - I was sweating it hard lol.. and after a pause he goes "Yeah, I'll do that" - and then I got off the phone and gave my girlfriend a high-five because we both been watching these videos ;) I turned a small sale from someone I thought couldn't afford it into a very satisfactory sale that made me happy to do it. - Thank you!

This episode is straight gas. I especially love the chart with keys to adjusting your sales call depending on the client dollar limit. Great stuff!
@lilycrin5 жыл бұрын
The content is great, the message is simple, but clients are not simple. Most of the stuff will not work on "nightmare" clients. Let's face it, most business owners don't hire based on a pattern. What do you do if everything is fine, you agreed on terms, you deliver, then they push for more, more work without a new payment agreement. How you handle that ... there are so many scenarios, I've been in many situations that do not match any scenario, not even by far. Still, amazing videos, I enjoy watching. Thank you tons for everything!
@josiahbaumgartner76433 жыл бұрын
Outline exact scope of work revision terms in a contract or at least an email before payment is taken to have something to point to if they ask for more. Its up to you to decide if you give them a one time freebie or not. To be straight forward, this question should not be expected to be answered in this video since that doesn't have to do with sales/onboarding.

Here in Brazil, we rely too much on Whatsapp, from social interactions to business conversations. Last week our partner introduced us to a prospect, but the prospect only spoke through Whatsapp messaging, he was vague and not too responsive. He even sent me a briefing of his work through a message and I couldn't absorb nothing from it and his next question was: how much do you charge? How could I make the sales talk more engaging by messaging? Amazing content as always, by the way! Thanks for sharing!

If I may, I’m no futur by any stretch , however I would think he would suggest: Qualify them to see if they meet YOUr standards as a client. Tell them “I’m glad I have the time to talk here for just a bit, I have about 10min - been very busy with major projects - ok, I’ll tell you a little about me and what I do , then I’d like to hear about what you need. We can see if I can even help you, maybe I can’t. And, if we have some circles that overlap, then maybe we can work together, if not we can part as friends “- #boom

Awesome podcast as always, really insightful as I'm prepping myself up to become a freelance designer. Throughout the podcast it is always mentioned that always determine or ask your client's budget as soon as possible. But somewhere on the podcast, Christ mentioned that asking for prices first will make clients think you'll only want their money and you're only thinking about yourself? Do I understand something wrong? Thanks in advance!

Thank you ! I just sold a logo for 5k I was the middle man between the client and a great artist I found on 5er - made them sign a release and make it so unique no one would know! It’s awesome and cost me about $100 not bad for a part time hustle- the less I try hahah it’s almost like , don’t even care if you get it or not- simply have a flash roll of industry words and facts - say them all matter of fact and blasé, and then when your done act board and walk away with your energy ... they stop you and you say ok it’s 5k I take $2500 down so I can clear my table and putt attention to your project - now I’m in negotiations for a video for $20k ( starting high I’ll make them work me down to 15k but I’ll ask for a Video testimonial review and recommendation ) haha you guys rock
