One thing I love about watching Meg is the subtle message that Meg' work on the homestead is as important as Ben's work. I have noticed on other homesteader channels that do not show the work the women do, there are frequent comments that the women needs to do some of the work the men are doing. Including the work Meg is doing in the vlogs emphasizes that Meg is equally important to Ben's work.

I watch a guy who does charity lawn care for people in need. Some are unsold houses in the neighborhood and no one is taking care of the yards; others are people who become ill or have had old age creep up on them. Anyway, he gets revenue of course from his youtube videos of these buried yards. Very satisfying as a form of ASMR. Your weed eating had the same effect. And then you topped it off with the most delicious Fancy Ramen. Those were some gorgeous Noodle Bowls.

I'm so glad you had a nice visit with your parents Ben. It sounds like you got some quality time with them. Yes, projects get done and the clean-up gets forgotten. Great, the good weed wacker started! It's got to feel good getting all those weeds cut down. Cool, goji berries growing. That area you did next looks pretty good too. Well, you tried to chip the bamboo. That was cool that Tyler wanted to do it. Fire works well. Getting the pallets all together is a good move too. Getting that all moved down to the pit does make it look better near the barn. Yum, fancy ramen for dinner! Nice, Ben is grilling the steak! Was that biscuit steaks? I like your bowls. Great find at an auction Meg. Thanks for this video Hollar family!

Supper looked yummy especially the steak. Clean up in the spring and again in the fall helps to keep everything under control. You've got 4 boys that can each have a job to help keep the outside organized. Once a week for an hour or two and you'd have a neat yard. They can mow lawn weed whack and clean up tools & materials. That would free you up a bit too, Ben. Weekly chores are good for kids.

Ben, I'm surprised you aren't using those stainless equipment in your barn for processing. Easy to clean & ready to use. Just a thought. Bamboo is too fiberous to chip up. 😣. Use the large logs to support your hillside along your road, like you did further up the hill. The place is looking very organized. 😊.

I just choose the fun top 10 jobs on my list the rest will sort itself out eventually 🌻🌺🐞🌱

October is our month to get all our wood cut and split for the winter and to clean up our yard. We have to dedicate this time or it doesn't get done. Dang, Those stainless steel tables are something we would also love to have. Makes for good butchering stations. We've got an abundance of sunchokes.
