The harmonies & tone of the guitar in this song (and others of theirs from this era) are just incredible. Its not a fast song or a flashy one, the melodies and harmonies are what its about, & it still gives me goosebumps.

This is the first song to feature feedback in the production. According to Paul, they were getting ready to rehearse the song and turned on the speakers in the studio. They had George's guitar turned on and it was leaning against the amp and the loud humming ensued. The guys in the band liked the odd sound so much they had it put into the intro to the song.

there are drums in the song. They are just lip syncing to the recording of the song so no one is actually really playing their instruments.

This is a great song. Their attempts at videos before the days of MTV were just fun, silly and adorable. I really hope you will react to “If I Fell”. It has some of the most beautiful harmonies ever recorded. Love your videos honey. Keep em coming 🌺✌️

I believe that haha. after meeting Bob Dylan in August 1964 on tour in the USA, most anything they did on film was probably when stoned. They even admitted during the MBE medal from the Queen [recently deceased] they went to the bathroom and lit up, lol.

I remembered when I first heard this song , I just get it out of my head and I just loved John's vocals on this song . I remember begging my mom to take me to the record shop to get it and when my got it for me , I nearly wore that record player out , playing it over and over again . In 1959, Ray Charles had a huge hit with his song, 'What'd I Say, driven by Milt Turners unorthodox tom tom drum pattern. The song was the "go to song" for the young Beatles during their 5 grueling stints over 3 years in Hamburg Germany. The song is important in Beatles lore because drummer Pete Best hadn't mastered the tom tom drum beat. On those nights in Hamburg when Pete was ill, Ringo Starr would fill in. Ringo had mastered the beat and the other 4 Beatles took notice. Pete was fired before the Beatles final stint in Hamburg in Dec 1962. That unorthodox tom tom beat is what Ringo plays on the verses of I Feel Fine. Fantastic reaction JAYY. RNB

This reminds me of the other early Beatles video where they are all four sitting straddling a bouncy wooden board and Ringo is in the back holding an umbrella and sticking his head out for camera time 😆 "Help!" ☔

Those were promotion videos put together in a hurry. It was all a big joke to them, lip syncing and all. Several were done at one sitting. They did them because they couldn't be on tour 100% of the time, so they would send these to many countries' teen show etc.

This song had some excellent guitar riffs, and the sound George created. Ringo as well some very innovative drumming , combining, Mumbo with Rock. And John Lennon with one of the best voices in that era. I think Keith Richards copied George's riff and used it in the stone song" 19th Nervous Break Down". Except Richards giving it more emphasis as leed .

Have you seen the hilarious video they had to do for Help withe artificial snow. You can see they do bot know what is going on and just concentrate on miming. I believe there are better videos of them singing I Feel Fine. The one we have just seen was especially for the U.K. B.B.C. pop show Top Of The Pops.
