No no, he’s actually correct, 100%. The Brimscythe fight took place before they even started filming their games, and it was Vax who killed him in the original game by cutting his whole neck open.

What I loved about the dragon fight is that moment when Grog gets electrified by the dragon just because he was touching the gold piece! I can really feel how Matt played this combat in the blue dragon lair with a rule where the gold piece were electric conductor and if you stand in a tile were there was gold and the dragon attack another tile with gold connected to yours, you take electrical damage. I definitively gonna steal this rule for my game ^^

If you haven't seen the livestream watch party CR did Tuesday, they had a lot of interesting information. It's on KZbin now. One of the things I like is the attention to detail. The gold conducting the lightning into Grog, and the gold melting around them because the temperature of lightning is higher than the melting point of gold, so the melting gold starts casting this bright orange light on everything.

I just love how this episode incorporated a subtle piece of dragon lore from the most recent lore book on dragons in the game in a way that makes sense. It has been stated before that anti magic doesn't affect a dragon's breath weapon or their aura of fear. The Canon explanation as of the update is that Dragons are realer than real, literally made of the raw energy of the prime material plane. When they die, their body reverts to matter, just like everything else in the world, with only lingering magical potential left. Having a CGI dragon in a traditionally animated world would definitely fit the too real to be real, and having the body immediately start reverting to traditional animation after after death = chef's kiss

Fun fact: metal armor is actually the best defense against electricity, since the electrical resistance of metal is far lower than human’s, the electrical charge would just flow through the armor down to the ground, like a walking grounding rod. But maybe dragons’ lightning is different.

Minor complaint, Uriel looks a little incompetent in this truncated version of the timeline. In the original campaign, Uriel got to know VM after VM saved him and his family from a fiend/devil plot. So his first actual encounter with VM was after they saved his and his family's lives. Furthermore, VM also did it out of their own initiative and without an expected reward. That was a way better first impression than this LOVM canon. So throwing out such a powerful title over the dragon makes Uriel look impulsive, unwise, and a little too happy-go-lucky (alongside how he hired them based on a song and a bear). At the very most, the Dragon would warrant them a title and a reserved mercenary band. Not a seat in government. Uriel gave me the impression of being this tired and weary soul. Over here he seems to be a bit too unburdened and jovial Dustin will know why this tired weary soul characterization is needed before the next arc of the series.

They got exactly what you're suggesting. They were given the title of Protectors of the Realm, which means they'd likely get first dibs on any government contracts, they were given an old, run down keep so they could be kept close, and they're only honorary members of the council, so they don't actually have any governing power. At most, they would be allowed to sit in on meetings relevant to their duty as fighters.
