Reed is definitely a know-it-all but he's a naturally nice guy who lets his ego to "fix" everything or cure everybody but at the expense of his relationships The first Tim Story Fantastic four movie did a good job showing that side of Reed , he definitely wasn't a dick but too focused on his work I said this before Tony is the go all in no matter who it pisses off he's gonna do it ..he's still likable Bruce is the cautious one because he doesn't want anyone to have deal with what happened to him so he's overly worried and will constantly bring up the bad side of any experiment (Mark got his down in every avenger movie) Reed is the "I gotta fix everything" type he feels the most guilt of what happened to him, sue , Johnny and especially Ben so he subconsciously is using his guilt about what happened to Ben to dictate how he'll get so obsessed and fixating on "fixing" that he not by his fault neglects actually physically being there for everyone especially Ben his best friend His power literally fits his persona he stretches himself too thin

I don’t understand why people say this, Reed isn’t like a geeky nerd character that is constantly um actually-ing everyone. He has like a father knows best smoking his pipe while he solves complex mathematical equations vibes. He shouldn’t be insufferable he’s the leading man, he’s suppose to be somewhat likable. I heard someone mention Rahul Kohli early on, not as being in the running but just as a fan casting, and I was like...yes. That guy. Because he has that charisma that can flip into intimidation, coupled with a sort of dorky glee, which I think Reed needs. It's almost a The Doctor (Doctor Who) quality, which also made Matt Smith an interesting pick. But Pedro Pascal is not a bad pick. He's flexible. I think he can do it.

LOVE Pedro, not sure if if i love Pedro for Reed. Here's my concern though. Isn't Star Wars planning a movie that features Mando? I feel like that would probably take up a lot of time pretty soon. And depending on how the showrunners plan to go about Last Of Us season 2, Pedro might be pretty busy filming that as well. The LOU showrunners said that they felt they probably couldnt cover TLOU part 2 in just 1 season, which makes me feel like Pedro might still be around there for bit. Just feels like he'd be WAY too busy to start a long term role like this, and will likely be expected to be filming for F4, Kang Dynasty, and Secret Wars. Just makes me curious. Feels weird.

If Pedro Pascal is Reed, that is a wild turn I'd never have expected (or fancast), but I kind of dig it. It's interesting enough, he's a solid actor, I think he could pull it off, but the weird range we've seen makes me worried they're not quite sure who Mr. Fantastic should be, personality-wise. Also, the ages of the FF seem a little weird (Joseph Quinn's 29, Pascal's 48, Vanessa Kirby's 35, Ebon Moss-Bachrach is 46) - that suggests an older version of the group not just on actual age level but potentially more experienced, and does suggest Franklin and Valeria are likely around already (or will be soon), which is certainly a choice. Oh, also realized that this means my personal fave choice (John Cho) wasn't as unreasonable a pick as I thought, he's only a few years older than Pascal (which is wild to me).

He has his helmet off, and if you will always have to compromise on how you can shoot action that way. RDJ works cause he's full armored. Pedro Pascal worked cause he's fully armored. But unless he's the Maker, we're going to need to see Reed's face.

If they want to make the movie with the team established, I could see Marvel pulling another Spider-Man or Black Panther, where we see part of their origin in a different film. That way they can set up the kids for the Young Avengers they want to make work so badly. One problem with that, however is I believe the two movies slated before F4 is Deadpool 3 and New World Order. Both already have their work cut out for them without involving the introduction of 4 new characters. But I suppose we'll just have to wait and find out.

Franklin is a mutant. Easy to have his family be an end credits scene in Deadpool 3. Or use Black Panther 3/Namor's next movie as the movie that actualy combines the F4 with the Marvel verse.

The best way for them to go through their origin is to just do the origin in the opening title sequence like how they did with The Incredible Hulk. Only this time they quite literally have a chance to pull off the coolest thing ever and give them a whole "part one" in that sequence so we learn how they got their powers, who they first fought, what happened to them and where they've been this entire time so we can jump into the film as an unofficial sequel. I think that would be really badass to see since it hasn't really been done at least to my knowledge.

I love pedro pascal, but Im ngl, I did not see pedro being cast as REED RICHARDS like at ALL. Im excited. He’s a great actor and this will be a big change as far as characters Ive seen him play, it will definitely show off his range if pulled off right. But yeah I was thinking just about everyone else already mentioned. Kinda worried, absolutely shocked, but with actors like pedro, I think it this will definitely be really fun to watch. He will have to bring out his inner genius work obsessed goofball.
