Drake is on camera multiple times earlier in his career saying he was inspired by Joe so even if Joe is considered an individual failure as an artist he still wins because he was part of the inspiration that drove Drake to success

I’m not a drake fan at all but I disagree…DRAKE is trying to do what the young dudes are doing nowadays why do y’all think the song with YEAT is number one on the album and the charts Joe skipped right over that song during his review so who’s really disconnected the album is like drakes approach to the new Rage sound that Playboi Carti Yeat and Travis are doing everything doesn’t have to be lyrical miracle every time lol Drake gave y’all what he wanted to give y’all not what y’all wanted to hear niggas is tired of that if y’all want to hear Nas and Conway the muchine Kendrick type of raps go listen too that ungrateful asses 😂

Tbh Drake's response to Joe is the typical mainstream bot response. I tell a Jay z fan i like Nas more, here comes the predictable rant on how jay z sold way more. I like Prince more than Michael Jackson, here comes the predictable album sales bot rant. Same with the Kendrick vs Drake argument. There are different realms to success and the mainstream audience are mostly full of lazy thinkers who think bill board hits is on the only way to impact the world musically. They know nothing about the politics of the music business & they couldn't even name an instrument. If Joe a failed rapper according to Drake can't critique Drake's music, than i guess Drake fans opinions shouldn't matter either according to Drake.

After watching this it’s crazy that another podcast is talking about Joe Budden and Drake. It goes to show you both of their relevance and importance in the culture. I see Drake and Joe’s points. Drake still in the streets and with the shits. He’s rich, famous, and successful and doesn’t want to stop his reign to be married and settled down. He’s catering to the younger demographic to stay relevant. Joe on the other hand has shown growth and he’s misunderstood a lot but you can tell he’s evolving can’t hate on that at all. They will peace it up again eventually. I think Drake needs to take time away to rest, reset, and focus on things that will mature the music to another level.

Joes Pod career was and is spring boared by speaking on Drake. If we take out the Rory and Mal break up What are Joes Pod Highlights??? His top 5 has atleast 3 Drake moments including this moment. Joe dropped 3 diss tracks Drake didnt respond once. Joe was begging Drake to come on the platform and was hurt when he heard Nore had a Drink Champs episode with him. At some point its only so much my name is going to come out of your mouth especially a peer thats never reached that level.

That is a detached viewpoint of the JBP. Judging by his subscribers and regular viewers, the success of his podcast has less to do with his biggest moments but more so the consistency and branding to include the Pull Up and State of the Culture. The topics discussed over the years ranging from Nipseys passing, cultural/social issues, and album artist reviews. Even during the drake beef, the main viewers of the four tracks were less podcast followers as it was hip hop fans that wanted to hear what Joe had said. Sure he got some followers out of it, but not to the extent you had portrayed. Akademiks has viral moments all the time, and his followers are aware of what he offers. I stopped tuning in as much after Rory and Mal, but I do feel that Joe is consistent with content while we have seen other podcasts come and go or take random month/year long hiatuses.

@thatgurunia

In that Yachty interview, Drake displayed an annoyance (maybe phobia) with getting older. When Yachty who is 12 yrs younger told him: you getting up there, Drake could barely breathe and his eyes closed. Our criticism as his “earlier” fan base is valid. His refusal to leave the party and continue on this streak with a younger audience is also valid. I feel like it’s the moment of reckoning for many of his earlier fan base: we haven’t boarded the Drake bus since Scorpion in 2018 and instead of making demands on someone who not only has crack the cheat code on longevity. Our time has come to a fork in the road. How long of a break is he gonna take? Is one year enough? Ok, 2 years: By then he’s 39, much harder to goof around with the younger demographic. Since 2018 he has sacrificed quality for streams, TikTok and spins. He has fully rejected to give us black excellence and a spot on the Mt. Rushmore. He might as well stay in the game, get another HUGE bag 💰 and disappear when he’s fully saturated. There’s nothing to salvage. This album is just as poor as the past few projects he put out. We need to move and expect more from the folks we decide we get our music experiences from.
@Musa-ut6ce
@Musa-ut6ce 8 ай бұрын
@@thatguruniaIf based on his run up until 2018 he wasn't on your Mount Rushmore, then he was never going to be on it because theres nothing he didn't do. Up until thwt point he alrwady had more tham 10 bodies of work released. He won Grammies, had number 1 records, had classic albums and critical acclaim. In 2018 he was in year in year 13 of his music career. If that didnt convince you, nothing he could ever do going forward ever would. It's the exact same thing that LeBron has to deal with. If Drake at year 18 being the top and LeBron at year 21 being at the top hasn't convinced you of their greatness, nothing ever will
