Still flowing, however not as mighty as months prior. A part of me felt as if just as the seasons change throughout the year, we as humans reflect the environment. Good Information, good practice. I feel awesome post practice and do express gratitude for your presence.

When following a F practitioner i act as if she is my mirror image (rt hand over left for ex). I have a pet peeve about changed play back speeds on the overdubs [sound tracks ?]

Loved the practice, Nick! Is grinding the rice the same as the grinding the tofu movement I have seen you do in the past or is there a difference? Also , separating heaven and earth is my favorite QG movement (although not covered in the training 😞) .I LOVE all the variations you bring for it in your practices and am curious about their origins. ~Beaker
@TheNickLoffree2 жыл бұрын
Ya, grinding tofu/rice is two different names I’ve heard for the same movement from two different teachers. I’m a bigger fan of rice so I started rolling with that haha also rice has a more beneficial effect on the spleen so it makes sense. Separating heaven and earth has its origins in the 8 Brocades. There are a million versions of the eight brocades and a million versions of that exercise to go with them :)

Hey Nick! Another nice video, thank you. Would you please explain how you differentiate "Earth Center" from Lower Dan Tien? I notice that you reference the solar plexus as the Earth center. Earth element is connected to the bones, dense tissue like muscles and over all vitality, not the digestion. It is the fire element that runs the digestion. This is why it is not advised to drink a lot while eating. The water element shuts down the digestive fire and makes the digestion slow and troublesome.
@discordantfungi27413 ай бұрын
According to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 phase theory, earth element is indeed connected to digestion (muscles, too). All elements play a role but if earth element is weak (stomach/spleen), digestion will fail. In TCM it is kidneys/water that is associated to bones, and liver/wood that is associated with sinew.

can all flows be performed during pregnancy too? i had heard that some movements are not recommended (sinking the qi, separating heaven and earth, knocking on the door of life, etc) thanks!

Would this be good for prolapsed organs -bladder, possibly bowel? I have read elsewhere that prolapses can be due to weak spleen, but the exercises look a bit demanding if there is discomfort in the lower abdomen.

Nice program, although when you mention Buddhism as a religion and say that people shouldnt consider qigong as being religious, i gotta say this. Buddhism is per definition not a religion. Its a philosophy, a way of life. A religion must have a God, which Buddhism does not. Also the word "religion" itself which means to re-bind or re-connect from the lating re-ligio, infers that we have lost something that needs re-connecting to. Buddhism doesnt strive for any of that, only for Nirvana which is their nothingness.
