I love Hunter's expression when he's watching Omega play. There's a softness that comes over him. The character went from the one that I watched the animation for in Clone Wars and said "Well he's the least expressive of the bunch" to the one that is my favorite watching facial expressions. And the way Omega says "I caught it!" when she catches the ball? Good lord those two are so wholesome. If it were done poorly it would be sacharine but they're just the right deal of adorable in this awful dystopia

Stormtroopers are not Republic Troopers (also known as Clone Troopers). LucasFilm confirmed that back when the Prequels were in theatres, and this show is already going into it since in the first episode of BAD BATCH we saw Tarkin talk about how clone production will stop and the whole Republic Trooper army is being reconsidered as the Empire will need a new, larger army.

The cat creature was a nexu. There was one in Attack of the Clones as one of the three execution beasts in the arena Jek is indeed voiced by Kath Soucie who voiced Phil and Lil. Shaeeah is voiced by Nika Futterman, Ventress! Cut wasn’t defective, he desserted when his ship got shot down and they were executing the survivors. The idea of being bred to fight and likely die didn’t sit right with him, so he chose to leave the war behind. Chip wise, his presumably wasn’t activated because he never heard “execute Order 66.”

Not sure if Cut is defective in some way or not. In the original appearance of his character he tells Rex that in the beginning of the war his ship was shot down. Every other clone on board was dead or badly injured; as droids starting executing survivors among the wreckage he fled and simply never went back to the army.

So the thing about Order 66 and the chips is that (when functioning properly) it requires an audio que to activate the programming. That's why Sidious went through the trouble of calling all the clones to issue the order personally. Cut, being AWOL, wasn't on comms, so he never got the order.
