I had a hamster. My dad was cleaning his cage while I was at school. But my dad didn't take him out of his cage. For some reason my dad used a vacuum and the hamster got sucked up. My dad put the dead body back in the cage. When I got back, he wasn't moving and I realized he died. I was in 1st grade at the time. My dad told me he was too fat and when he was on his wheel, he got a heart attack. The hamster's name was Chim-Chim. At first, they got along well and cuddled together, but they eventually started fighting and had to be separated. Growing up we had a lot of pets. Hamsters, Guinea pigs, Mice, Rats, Bunnies, Cats, Dogs... At one time we had a small farm with chickens and pigs and such. The most traumatic death was one of our little black hamsters. We had an old house and the people who owned it before us drilled holes in the wood floor to run a sound system. Some of the holes went strain to the basement, the scary Michigan style basement. As a proud winter state family my brothers played street hockey and ice hockey. I had a pretty mean slap shot myself. Anyway! We stored their hockey net in the basement. Backstory finished. The hamster got out, fell through a hole in the floor and got gruesomely hung by the hockey net. We all cried.

I have a dwarf hamster his name is Yuri and he’s escaped his cage about 4-5 times with a cat wandering around the house and a giant dog. The biggest injury my hamster ever got was a little scratch on the back somehow by my cat. And I pretty much spoil him to death but he’s extremely resourceful and I’ve had him a little over a year now. I know this might sound weird, but he’s one of my best friends if not my best friend. Even though I’ve only known him a little over a year I treat him like an important part of the family.

I have 2 unbelievable Hamster Stories two: 1. our first Hamster, we called her Natalia. Well we made a little mistake, when we bought her we held her in a cage that was designed for Guinny Pigs, so she could just escape through the bars of the cage, so we added some more iron bars so that she couldnt escape, but in the first night she still somehow managed to escape. Me and my sister were crying all day we searched everywhere but we couldnt find her. Me depressed as i was i went to the kitchen then while i was watching outside the window i heard a small noise, it sounded like scratching behind the closet similar to your first story with sqeaks. I immediately ran towards my parents and screamed i hear a noise behind the kitchen closet, then my dad moved the closet and there she was. We were so relieved and happy and we immediately drived to the pet store to buy a real hamster cage. 2. so after our first Hamster died we decided 1 year later to buy another one, we called him Sparkles ✨. His demise was very very sad. Im gonna tell the story from my perspective. So i was sleepless all night and had bad mood when i was going to school, and i had long day school so i had to endure even longer than usual, then i had to walk to school because my bike was broken, when i wanted to go home i forgot to bring myself a helmet so i couldnt ride my repaired bike back. Then i went home and i thought this day couldnt get worse then my sister came down the stairs and told me, Abiram you know Hamsters come and go. I just bumbed my head against the wall after that sentence. What happened is the hamster has a ceramic bowl filled with sand to take a bath, the bowl was on the hay in the cage. Well sparkles loves digging through the hay, then he decided to dig underneath the ceramic bowl, and the bowl was heavy and started crushing him, he was able to get his head outside of the bowl but he couldnt escape. So his buddy was crushed by the ceramic bowl. My sister and my mom werent home when this happend or else it all could have been prevented. Well my sister told me how when she came home, she just saw sparkles head looking out of this heavy ceramic bowl it was terrifying, when i came home i just saw how flat his body became, it lokked like those Bear Carpets 😂 Well after the tragic events of the last story we decided to never want a hamster again

I had 2 hamsters in separate cages as a kid. A boy and a girl. One day the girl got out and I couldn't find her. Didn't have time to find her since I had to go to school so I made one of those pitfall traps like you did. Didn't work either. ANYWAY. When I got home from school idk how but the boy escaped too. Must of had the super strength of a thousand hams knowing there was booty tang nearby his cage. Found them both later that day and 3 weeks later I had 13 hamsters. Gave away all the babs except 1 to other people.

I had a hamster. I loved the little thing. He was my sisters. She then got sick of him and handed him over to me. Did I mention she named him, Chocolate Donut? We called I'm C.D. ,point is. I went downstairs to get him some water and he escaped.. Me being the forgetful person I am. I left his cage open... About two months later we found him dead in a trash can Let me explain.. My dad had redone our attic to become mine and my sisters rooms. My mom and dad we're expecting a little girl soon. So me and my sister had to give up the old room we had shared. In the attic, in the back of my room is a storage room. It has a little drop to a lower level. We had set the trash can next to the the step, I guess he fell in and didn't have any grip to get out. I still think about him.... And his brother that had died about a month before him. (His brother was mine too) I love the little guys. I'll never forget them. 💚😇 Thanks to all who read this far. I really appreciate it. Edit- I just realized how long this is.... Sorry. I felt the need to share it though...💖💖 Second Edit- Thank you all to who liked and sent your love! I had a hamster and loved him so much. He was a lil russian dwarf hamster and he was white so I called him MC hammy. It was Easter Day. I got out of the shower and looked into his cage. He was sitting in the doorway of his wooden cottage. He loved scriches behind his ears so I gave him one and he didn’t move. I picked him up and saw he was barely moving. I started screaming and my dad came up and knew immediately. He told me that he was a great hamster and was very old. I came downstairs with him in my hands, sat on the couch and held him. I waited. About 45 minutes later, he had taken his last breath. The last month before this, he had been dealing with some health issues and I knew it was coming. My mum wasn’t even there to comfort me bc she was at work. I was devastated. The next day I went to a garden centre and got a ceramic pot and painted it with him on it and his name and a bunch of stuff he liked. Then we wrapped him up in tissue, put some soil in it, a layer of his bedding, his body in the tissue, more of his bedding and more soil. We planted tulips and they have flowered. Really miss you buddy. Fly high 🕊️💔

There were 2 dwarf humsters in our flat, which were technically my sister's pets, but I took care of them because she lost interest in them 🙃. She got the 1st one and then a year later she bought the 2nd one. I cried for a month after the first humser died. I was 19 or 20 crying for a humster. But I was REALLY attached to him. RIP Jorik.
