Mandalorian is the most middle of the road, empty nothingburger of a show and that consistently got in the high 90s among audiences, yet this show with an actual story is getting clowned on. I mean, i get some of it with how annoying and Ezra-fied they decided to make Sabine. It's just weird that this is the thing critics decided to zero in on. Although, i will say Filoni seems like he's more suited to animation.

I like it- it is realistic and it makes you empathize with her unlike the "perfect powerful female" trope that was already getting very tired.

I'm leaning toward Baylan as a former Temple Guard. His armor looks like it could have been Temple Guard kit at one time, and a yellow saber tainted with red would be... orange. He's knowledgeable in the lore and history of the Jedi Order, he's honor-bound, and he's intensely skilled in combat. It stands to reason that he would HATE Anakin for destroying everything he stood for.

Rogue one and mandalorian season 1-2 were ok because the sequels were so awful visions actually impressed me but all of that is stranded on an island made of dog shit surrounded by an ocean of dumpster juice after they completely destroyed the main story and characters. A passable episode or 2 of a weak show after all that isn't nearly enough a lot of folks still have braindead consumer syndrome and that's why Lucasfilm continues to bury the franchise with garbage

OMG OMG OMG THIS EPISODE WAS EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED!!!!!! The Lightsaber Fights were Perfect, The Acting was Perfect, Everything was just Perfect! It was already My Favorite Episode of The Show but then THAT ENDING. OMG THAT'S HOW YOU DO AN ENDING! It made Me Cry because I've been waiting to see Anakin and Ahsoka in a Scene Together in Live Action for so long and to see it finally happen is just Amazing!!! Loved the shock on Shin's face when Marrok turned into smoke. So glad she survived this episode. Sabine was in Mando mode in that duel. Loved that we got lots of Baylon, and that Sabine gave in to her attachment to Ezra and gave Baylon the orb. Also Baylon revealed that Sabine blames Ahsoka for not helping during the purge of Mandalore and that her family died in the purge. This explains the beef between them but it also means Ahsoka was around during the galactic civil war because that's when the purge happened. I hope we find out how Ahsoka ended up in the WBW again. I have to say I'm not a fan of her dying and coming back. This was still one of the best episodes of live action Star Wars, Filoni always finishes stronger than he starts.

There was no special focus on this character in the show at all, in the writing of the episodes, ahsoka, sabine or hera wasnt putting any focus on this guy saying there was a former inquisitor that is working with them that stopped us. There wasnt any hints like that in the writing at all. It almost seemed like they didnt even care about him. They put emphasis on baylan and shin’s lightsabers. Story telling-wise thats putting emphasis and background to these characters. Nothing in any way did they do that for marrok.

I believe Sabine is not stupid enough to just “hand” the map over. She did it intentionally. If she can get there, high jack the coordinates of the giant ship, get Ezra, and then make it back to her galaxy. She could send the New Republic fleet to the galaxy and keep Thrawn away. Sabina’s letting it play out and’ll ultimately save the day. Unfortunate part is- she’s also doing it because she’s giving into the her own wants… not really the way of the Jedi.

I think Sabine will definitely end up using the force to win the fight with Shin. Seems to be setting up pretty clearly, but I don’t think it will be very huge, it will be barely enough and really hard and probably not super repeatable. Which imo I’m fine with. The duel between baylan and ahsoka was choreographed so well and reminded me of mortal kombat. Had me thinking ab a Star Wars fighting game with jedi and Sith.

Two important things about the last scene: - Anakin is not wearing the same Jedi Master robes as he did at the end of Return of the Jedi. - This Anakin is carrying Darth Vader's lightasaber instead of Anakin's. 🤯 🤯

This episode was jaw dropping. We had so much given to us. Epic fight scenes that felt closer to the original trilogy fighting sequences than anything we've had in a long while, Marrok turned into freaking mist or something of witch magic, Baylan and Ahsoka finally fighting each other was absolutely insane, old light saber noises that brought upon the nostalgia, and ANAKIN FREAKING SKYWALKER is BACK!!!! Hayden looks so good in that scene and, while I honestly didn't cry, I did tear up because I could feel the emotions from Ahsoka in that moment. She hasn't seen her master like that, his old self I mean, in so very long. I can't even with this episode and literally only complaint is that we didn't get anything after the two see each other in the world between worlds. I don't want to wait a week for their interactions. Though the vader theme music makes me worry a little about what is to come. Guess we're being forced to wait y'all. What an incredible episode.

When Anakin appeared, Man, the little boy in me couldn't take it - tears bro, pure tears. Best piece of Star Wars I've seen (in my opinion) since Andor.

One issue with this episode: Ahsoka was like 30 feet away from Shin and Sabine's fight and together she and Sabine could have finished off Shin together quickly rather than leaving Sabine to face Shin alone with someone who could legitimately beat/kill her. Otherwise, a GREAT episode. It had the gravitas and mysticism of the Original Trilogy (Empire Strikes Back, etc.).

The force works in mysterious ways, perhaps they sensed something about her, and the potential for her to provide benefit to them. My guess is that Shin will turn on Baylon.

Sabine told her to leave. She had to show that she trusted Sabine, so staying with her wouldn't do their chemistry any justice.

@@theogking8309 good point, but they had also agreed to stick together, and made a big point about it and promised to before the duals, and Ahsoka was right there and could’ve easily finished off Shin.

What an awesome episode for Dave Filoni and Ray Stevenson, let alone us fans! As someone who loves it when characters tell the story, this was great to see. But one moment I really loved that spoke about the characters was when Ahsoka lowered her sword stance as if to invite Baylon to make the first move. The look he gives her before he raises his lightsaber, completely relaxed, spoke volumes: "No, my dear. You're not dealing with a stupid padawan who'd take that bait. You want to fight, you come at me first." SO good! And just seeing the joy in Ahsoka's face when she sees Anakin, then the slow realization that something is off here. Just a wonderful episode

I really enjoyed this episode. I especially loved the parallels between Anakin's decision in the prequels and Sabine's choice to give the map to Balen. Just like Palpatine, Balen knew where to poke and prod to convince Sabine.

What an amazing episode. I kind of liked that Marrok was created by night sister magic, all the Inquisitors probably are dead so that makes sense. Balen is a freaking beast, he is so powerful, and how fighting style is slick, combining powerful offense with good defense as well. For anyone not familiar with a pattern of 3 usually the villain will win the first encounter with a hero, draw the second, and then lose the final battle. Sabine and Shin have fought twice with the first round going to Shin, the second a clear draw with Shin leaving, and the third will possibly be a victory for Sabine.
