It just has too be done. Also Sausage and Gravy, that also has too be mixed up in the mash. PS, Going back too beans and Mash. Between two slices of bread. HEAVEN. MUM hated it, but dad and myself just had too do it. PSS, Corned Beef Hash, OMG, DEFINITELY had too go on bread for a butties. Also fry the left overs in a frying pan. I always enjoy watching these, rain, hail, snow or shine, you always film a great adventure. That LED string you used looked so neat. That sure was some storm, getting soaked isn't much fun but a "bad" day in the outdoors beats a "good" day at work... I wonder if that alcohol hand cleaning gel would work as well or better than that "fire gel" for less than half the price? S&H 👍

Hey Luke👍👍 Another test of your fortitude, not much you could do except endure. Tarps are great until the wind blows crazy sideways then their limitations show up quickly. Tarp and tent is my favorite way to camp but sometimes a person just needs more. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do with what ya got🤨 That's what I call a great meal and perfect for the situation, the stove not so much, I tossed all my stinky hazardous solid fuel stoves years ago, just too many better options available, YMMV. Too bad things went south and got wet but it could've been lots worse. Thanks for the work making this episode and bringing us along, made me appreciate my cabin, wood stove and hot cocoa...well done. Enjoy!

Them Helikon pants are the bee's knees. Super light, very comfortable (especially in the waist as they are slightly elastic and sit at a realistic height), dry quickly and have pockets for kneepad inserts. My go-to pants for my days off from work, even if I'm just kickin' around the haus. Great video, as always. Prost!

I'm so happy that you didn't demonize the coyotes. I've been an animal fanatic since I was a little girl and have done dog rescue and worked as a docent at one of the top accredited some in the US. Coyotes are graceful, beautiful and vital creatures in a biome. You are wise not to be concerned about them being close by.they

I use the alcohol get to get the fire started with other material. I never thought of using it for a small stove. It seemed to work OK for you. The coyotes are so cool. We've had them startlingly close to camp.

It reminded me of two camps I made- one in Pennsylvania when a rare tornado came through and one in New Hampshire that was interupted by a hurricane (downgraded to a tropical storm just prior). In the Aussie army we used to cook cans of beans and sausages by denting them with a whack to your boot heel. Pop them on the stove or fire and when the dent pops out, remove and open. Worked a treat and you ate out of the can (wear a glove or use your bush hat, of course) leaving nothing to wash up. Pay attention as if you miss the dent popping out it wasn't long before the can went off like a little hand grenade.

Were it thunderstorms, I wouldn't know, my hearing is almost gone. I'm at an age where it is best for me not to go far. I love going on trips with you. When my father used to go ice fishing, and he used a canned fuel similar to Sterno to heat his ice fishing seat. The "seat" acted like a sled to haul the gear, and had a bench top to sit on. Placing the can inside the box allowed the heat to rise in the vent in the front and the back.

Loved the content, not many would have stayed the night under a tarp with the gear that was brought in those conditions and tested new products as well. Respect 💪💪💪 I've seen people pack up their tents and slept in cars or found a hotel in those elements. The coyote audible was official as well!!! Fire dragon stuff is pretty cheap in the uk (1 litre of gel is £5 or $6) The gel isn’t great, the liquid for a trangia stove works about as good as anything out there and no awful fumes or smell. I love the wet weather camps (have to in the uk as always rains) I am doing a totally stealth camp Saturday night. Embracing a bit of what it seems Americans love, roundabout camping 😂

Tarp camping has always intrigued me. But where I live, those spring, summer and fall storms are just too fierce blowing in off the plains. So yeah, I'd rather be inside a tent (especially a small dome tent where the winds can't find an angle to collapse you or blow you over or beyond the holding capacity of your ground stakes).
