When my mom was in her 70s she was dealing with a heart condition that left her exhausted and unable to do things as she had been. And she would ask why was she still alive. We would say God must have a reason. She had valve repair surgery and it was like a second wind. In 2002 she found out the reason she was still alive. Her grandson was stabbed and almost died and her granddaughter was born 3months premature. Through her strength and prayer we received two miracles that year. As both grandchildren are alive and well. She lived until the age of 93 and she prayed for us all everyday and offered unlimited advice and love.

Well that made me cry happy tears, and I sang along in worship to our God! What a blessing to live a long life in service to Him, and yes her usefulness and beauty is still something God is using, how beautiful!

This is a goodly heritage! My father inlaw says God has a purpose for each person. Sometimes the purpose is a short one ( a child an infant a younger person dying ) sometimes it's a longer purpose ( older folks ) when our purpose is done then God says ok their tiem o. Earth is done, and it goes for all people whether they are a born again believer or a person who has not trusted and accepted Jesus Christ has their own ... love how you ended with praise and Thanksgiving to the Lord ❤❤

Ya’ll had such a wonderful group for Thanksgiving! I’m so happy ya’ll prayed and sang together. My family pretty much stopped getting together after my Mom died. I tried to keep it going, but after a couple of years it fell apart. My two boys don’t like to get together. Our brother lives in Virginia, one sister still lives in Mississippi, and my other sister and I moved to Ocala, FL in June. We did manage to call everyone, but that was it.

Blessed Assurance is one of my favorite hymns! 🤎 I can definitely identify with your mom! I’m only 59, but I’ve been living with a rare autoimmune disease since 2016. But I was sick before that, it just took the right doctor to diagnose me. I’ve been on oxygen for the last 7 years, and my heart isn’t in great condition either. But I just keep on praying knowing my future is in Gods hands.
