While networking and job placement is more challenging, you can earn money, continue to advance your career and get your education simultaneously. However, the MBA is not what it used to be, employers are looking for specific skills which you can get through certificate programs.

I make the same amount as he does and I just have an undergrad degree in History. The only job that cares about your GPA and education is usually your first one. Experience earns money

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks
@Frank-d6b5 ай бұрын
@@Mary-h2w However, if you do not have access to a professional like Clementina Abate Russo, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. It is important to consider all options and seek guidance from reliable sources before making any major decisions. Consulting with an AI or using automated trading systems can also be helpful in managing investments while balancing other commitment

The average salary for a Harvard graduate is 95k. He is already making 50% more than that. What's the point of getting an MBA?

Executive MBA does not make you an executive near term lol
@warsaw59343 жыл бұрын
Exactly - executive MBAs are designed for people who are already in executive positions and want to become a more well-rounded business person and leader, not for someone looking to break into those roles. Regular MBAs are meant for that purpose.
@kelvingladwin49293 жыл бұрын
neither does a regular MBA. I know many CEOs, CTOs, C suite executives with no MBA. An MBA does not automatically guarantee you career success.
@warsaw59343 жыл бұрын
@@kelvingladwin4929 you're right to an extent, most MBAs don't. I would only recommend considering an MBA if you get into a T15 program. If you get into a M7, however, I would consider it very heavily, as these programs can virtually guarantee a more successful career than what you had prior, so long as you don't royally mess up.

Education is an ornament in prosperity and a consolation in adversity. Higher education does not guarantee high income certainly not but not everyone goes to school with the purpose of becoming very rich eventually, hard as it may be for an American to believe. Also it is a key that opens other doors, especially internationally. What the presenters say makes sense if your sole purpose is to make money and if you plan to live locally mainly, as in not working or living long term elsewhere in the world.

THE POWER OF NOW - Eckhart Tolle. There is only the now. No present or future, just now. This present moment. Everything else is mental, the history you believe shapes you, the future you project. Mental. There is only now.

Two things: First time I've heard Dave calling someone out for being a cheapskate lol And second, nothing wrong with being cheap as long as your lifestyle isn't affected and you're in good shape financially. Just my thoughts

Evening weekend mba! Opportunity cost of losing 150k is too much! You give up 150k and spend another 50k/ year (decent school). This is a total of 200-300k in cost. No brainer. Don’t quit. Ask employer to cover some.

The main thing a prestigious school gets you is: contacts & connections, if and only if you dont have to work 80 hours a week + your class load. If you have to work to many hours, and go to class for to many hours; there is no time to connect with people & learn from them.
@Snowshowslow3 жыл бұрын
True. But holding on to a career and having disposable income are also good things for your further life. So I don't think they're wrong that it's a risky move to quit your job for it. But if he had the option to downscale the amount of hours temporarily, that might be a better option :)
