Is this the end of the series? No updates for over two weeks now and you have just scratched the surface of Forward Programming. Will you be covering SAFE?
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
No sir, I had a couple of other projects that were time sensitive. Also had a bad elevator servo in the Commander I had to get replaced. I should have the Flight Modes video done this week, which is a lot of info and surprisingly one of the more complex topics of forward programming. Had to get my head wrapped around it before I can intelligently communicate it. Those folks at Spektrum had the advantage of inventing it, I learn as I go and share my findings with you guys! 😁 Good news is, I’m pretty comfortable with everything on the AR637T now, so once I get this flight mode video out, all the other pieces should fall in place rather easy. Thanks for checking in though, I really do appreciate it! And yes, I will absolutely be covering SAFE, Panic, On the fly gain adjustments, and more!

Been subscribed to this channel for some time but... Spektrum warns the AS3X ratios on the AR630 do not necessarily correlate to the AS3X ratios on the AR630/631/637 series. The algorithms are wholly different. I wouldn't recommend copying the settings from the AR636 and use those on the newer AS3X receivers.

They aren’t 1:1, but it does get you close.

Hello Air Marshall You do really great tutorials. I have a question: In the Spektrum AR637T (Part 7) tutorial, you mention that you could download the AS3X configurations from Horizon Hobby. But I can't find this where I can do it. For the E Flite P-51 Mustag 1.5. Can you help me with that. Thank you very much, Sascha from Switzerland
@TheRCAirMarshall3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Sascha Disch - thanks for watching! I do apologize for the late reply. I may have been mistaken if I said the model files were available for the AR637T. That is not yet the case, however, I believe we'll be seeing an updated version of the Spektrum Programmer software as early as this week, and the availability of the Spektrum model files for newer airframes like the P-51D 1.5M, which will allow you to load the OEM model files into AR637T and AR637TA receivers. Again, I apologize for the delay, and for any confusion! - Dave

Great series.... One suggestion though, if you could tighten the videos up a bit. You have good info about the new receiver but at times get sidetracked showing something having nothing to do with the receiver. It turns a 15 min video into 25 min. ok, another suggestion if you don't mind. Since you're doing the vitural fly in's using RealFlight, how about a series on how to use your radio w/RealFlight. There are no instructions out there for it (except with the interlink, buddy box style) and with your detailed info, would instantly become a must see video. The whole shooting match, how to link the radio, calibrate it and set the switches so they work in RF, just like your real model does (if it's possible). Thanks

Thank You for this series.. I'm going to be installing the 637T into my eFlight Viper 70mm. What starting are good starting gain settings for AS3x and Safe.
@TheRCAirMarshall Жыл бұрын
Honestly the default gain settings are a good starting point. Start there and adjust as necessary

Hi marshall! Love your videos. I have a brand new ar637t and have mounted it in my plane. When I bound the receiver I had to reverse aileron / rudder / elevator. I did that on my dx8 g2. After all my settings and trimmings were done, i went to forward programming and did the as3x settings. Everything went good, as3x works, but in the opposite way. When i put the plane for example down, the elevator control goes in the wrong way, it goes down instead of up... can you please help me?
@TheRCAirMarshall3 жыл бұрын
Nicola Fabozzi it sounds like your receiver orientation may not be correct. It’s totally safe to reverse the control surfaces in the transmitter with forward programming. If they are correcting in the wrong direction the usual suspect is the receiver orientation.
@nicolafabozzi41243 жыл бұрын
The RC Air Marshall thank you very much, but the orientation is correct... it super strange
@TheRCAirMarshall3 жыл бұрын
Another thing to check, and I apologize I don’t have my Tx in front of me to tell you exactly where to go. If you reversed all the servos after it learned the directions, you may need to go through the Relearn Servo procedure. Try that and see if it corrects the problem

How did i get the Aircraft Set Ups from Horizon Hobby? Especially for the Conscendo Ecolution?
@rexramos10903 жыл бұрын
Hi Marshall great i fo specially for brginners like me. I just have a question when you set up the gain you use the R knob then at the end of the video you changed it to Switch B. What is the use of the R knob? Also what can you say on the AR630 receiver? I am looking on getting it instead of the AR637T. Thank you
@boss22344 жыл бұрын
What do you use for gain on radios such as a dx 6 that does not have a gain knob, the radio says it will work with as3x?.
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
Boss223 for those things get a bit more tedious. You have to use a switch for gain adjustment in flight. You could have a switch set up, for example, to switch between 50% and 70% gain. Or 50, 70, 80% if you were to put it on a 3 position switch.

Great Series RC Air Marshall, this has helped me so much and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Please can you help me on a problem I have downloading the Aircraft Set Ups from HH. When I download "All Set Ups" to my PC, I Unzip them to a file in my documents called AR637T, But when I go into Spektrum programmer Beta and select import Models I look for the folder AR637T and I see the folder with all the models showing. When I click open it says No items match your search. I am not sure if Download HH files are SPM and Spektrum Programmer has SRM(*.srm) ?
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
Richard Booth the likely reason you’re not seeing anything at the moment is that the AR637T for the time being only supports Forward Programming via supported transmitters, and can not be programmed using the Spektrum programmer software and as you’ve seen the SRM files are not able to be loaded. The SRM files are for use on the AR636 receivers.
@richardbooth38484 жыл бұрын
@@TheRCAirMarshall Thank you so much for your quick response! that makes sense. Thank you again, it would be nowhere near as far ahead with the set up without you. I have just bought the FMS BAE Hawk ( Red Arrow) and I was watching you talking about the gains, and how you look up certain model gain settings from the imported files on the Spektrum programmer. That was what i was hoping to do :-)
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Richard! Ahh, I gotcha. Yeah you should be able to import SRM files into the Spektrum Programmer. Although I’m not 100% sure what plane I would use. Maybe a Havoc? Viper? Both have similar airframes to a Hawk that May give you a decent baseline to start with.
@richardbooth38484 жыл бұрын
@@TheRCAirMarshall I will try those model recommendations for sure! hopefully I will be able to import the models into the programmer without it telling me "no items in your search" I bet it's something silly that I have downloaded wrong :-) incidentally I tried "All files" instead of selecting "SRM(*.srm)" just to see if this made any difference, but this time it says "There is a problem importing your file." so its a real mystery :-)
