The last line " I am a piece" is a reference to the beginning of the film when millie is mousey and being picked on she isn't sure she can approach her crush. Her friend Josh told her she's a total piece.
@darkamora512311 ай бұрын
Glad I looked for this comment. Yeah, you got it spot on, but they can't really be blamed. It truly was a throwaway line at the beginning of the film and ending the film with that particular callback IS kind of strange. It would have made so much more sense if her denying or being referred to as not being a piece had been a thing throughout the whole film.
@SonOfMuta8 ай бұрын
@@darkamora5123 You don't know what "throwaway" means. That line wasn't that.
@darkamora51238 ай бұрын
@SonOfMuta okay, explain the significance of the line then. How does it develop her character? What joke is it the punchline to? The only thing it connects to is the negation of the idea at the end of the film, and Noth sides of that set of bookends is pointless. Perhaps THAT technically makes it not a throwaway line, but that pair of lines together does nothing for the narrative, and so are just throwaway lines instead of a single line.

I love this goddamn movie 😂 Its like Freaky Friday meets the Hot Chick meets classic slashers, its genius. Not to mention the casting is actually genius, too. Vince Vaughn may be a comedic actor, but he's also a tall, imposing guy out of context and can pull off the creepy vibe. And I love Kathryn Newton in darker roles.

I knew the gist of this movie but to actually watch, it wass hilarious. I think both actors did a really good job of playing a psycho and teenage girl. It does feel like there are some pieces missing. And I honestly cannot watch the part in the back of the car with that child who sounds like he's still going through puberty. It makes me so uncomfortable. I looked away when I originally watched it in any time I see anyone else watch it, I have to look away or fast forward because it's so ICK. And I know that's the point but EWW. I cannot. Anyway, can't wait to see what the two of you think about this movie.
