I hoped in my heart that they would at least take out a 7 string for the track and it sounds like it might be an 8. Plus the solo might be the best on the album. Real great stuff man

of all the new releases, I rated an overall 8/10, knowing it would grow on me. sure enough, the songs grew on me shortly after and for me personally, the whole album is a 10/10 for me. especially the killstation feature?!? who has been my favorite artist for about two years?!? freaking unreal. 🔥

4:00 Found myself agreeing. Not a bad song at all but I also felt that the vocals were a bit bland. I still think that F Around and Find Out still fits in quite nicely as polyphia song though and I'm honestly surprised they hadn't done a song like that sooner. The variety in the album was great, just didn't find that song in particular to be that special.
@lolo-kp1le2 жыл бұрын
Vocals ruin polyphia songs. I love to let the guitars sing, feel the raw emotion, but then a rapper raps and then song is now about how his girl has a fat ass :/

For sure. Using headphones vs speakers is like an entirely different world. You can hear every little background beat with headphones

@@justdannyp7 I'm just saying that for a band as dynamic as polyphia, who sometimes never repeat a measure note for note in an entire song, it's really out of place to have vocal features that keep the same rhythm and melody for an entire verse.

Man. I feel like I'm the only person that's disappointed. I really love ego death and playing God, and I was really hoping the rest of the album would be more like those songs. But I just cannot stand the pop sound of the album.

what i really appreciate is that they are always trying something new
@o0ozero0o2 жыл бұрын
@@zdark7202 I can def acknowledge that they are unique, and extremely talented. There's no question about those facts. But it just sounds like live band pop music to me. Like why be that talented if you're gonna make music that SOUNDS generic? Idk. Maybe I'm just being a hater 🤷♂️
@justsomeguy7272 жыл бұрын
@@o0ozero0o sounds more like you're stuck in a box when it comes to the genres you enjoy rather than being a "hater" . Have a bit more of an open mind when approaching the stylistic choices of each song and the genres they're blending together instead of trying to look at it from a "I wish this was more like what I prefer" perspective. If it turns out you don't like it still, then hey, at least you can say you gave it an honest shot. Though to say most of the album sounds like generic pop stuff when songs like Chimera and Audacity are anything but generic pop is kinda disingenuous imo
