One of my favorite Scott moments was the Raikou video where he goes into agonizing, AGONIZING detail about the damage ranges for Falkner with specific defense stats and how getting at a lower level would be better, only for Pidgey to flinch and it doesn’t matter. This is the content I subscribed for.

I know you said you didn't know how exciting this video would be, but I love that there's an update for everyone that doesn't regularly tune into the streams. As someone that advocated for the Bellsprout line to be used ages back, seeing Victreebel be a truly terrifying head of the pack for so long has made me proud of it. I think even if/when Mewtwo surpasses it, it fought long and hard, and I think it earns respect for that.
@iantaakalla81808 ай бұрын
Honestly, the fact that it tended to be the Poison-types that led the S-tier is amazing because of the Psychic-type stranglehold people think that type has in Gen 1. Somehow, each S-tier Poison Pokémon brought a new advantage that allows to breeze through the game at x4 speed.
@DrDrao8 ай бұрын
M2 probably will win. 154 special and psychic as a starting move means it can just blaze through the game. However, I think it'll probably be close, because there just isn't that much time left to save pokemon wise.

I like the long form content cause of the narrative you end up creating for yourself regarding your previous history with the Pokémon & what tips & tricks you’ve learned about that Pokémon as you’ve played with it throughout these games. That’s what makes these fun & exciting, it’s showing off the bond you create with your Pokémon whilst getting technical & statistical. It’s also great to see the community growing and helping one another become creative & bring new ideas to the table regarding what can be done with these games.

That could apply to all Gen 1 Flying-Types except for Gyarados and Aerodactyl-Gyarados because it doesn’t Fly and is huge enough to justify it causing quakes, and Aerodactyl because we all know it spins like a top when it causes Earthquakes, lol.

I couldn't agree more about these. Sometimes it feels like the streams hurt the runs, and every gen 1 and 2 pokemon are my favorite pokemon. Not even just the distraction, but it hurts when a pokemon gets shelved when it's so close to a better time or tier. I understand you're only human, but I'm really happy to see this video. I appreciate all the hard work, and your love for all these pokemon

It isn't that we love the long videos with every bit of data available but rather your ability to put it together and make useful information with said data that you put into your play. Well at least for me but i still like the longer stuff because i listen when im at work doing repetitive tasks
@iantaakalla81808 ай бұрын
Honestly, despite this growing far beyond playing Pokemon, this is also the truest expression of bonding with a Pokemon I have ever seen. Each Pokemon is used to pit against increasingly-powerful trainers, and this corresponds to the idea that Pokemon test your worthiness by seeing if you can handle them and then they become your friend that you overcome increasingly-strong opponents with. It feels like the anime.

There is always going to be some R&G and some of the trickier entries on the list are heavily dependent on it to get past some of the hardest fights in the game. So it may be risky, but I feel like if you're not using Surf in the mid game there are several Water types including Lapras that you could put Hydro Pump on before the late game to grab some 1 hit ranges... 80% of the time. I think Hypno would crush if it just had Thunder Punch to resolve a lot of fights involving some water types to replace Hypnosis in some circumstances. This video is solid. Though I think things would fair differently for Hitmonchan if comet punch was a fighting type move for the early game. Though that'd make poison types a real pain during Nugget Bridge. If there is one Pokémon that definitely needs help in the tier list, it would have to be Seel and Dewgong respectively. If they both started with Headbutt and Aurora Beam respectively, things would flow much smoother.
