Metro Music I agree. I used to look at its sport luxury brand infiniti as well, but it has been left behind by Acura and Lexus. I have been waiting so long for the much promised infiniti version of the gtr. Acura now has the nsx and Lexus will soon have the LCF. I wouldn’t be surprised if infiniti will scrap plans of ever producing one.

I’d say it’s both. I’ve never been taken by the styling (but really liked the R32 - R34s), but it somehow looks better now than 10yrs ago... I think the Bayside Blue is a winner and maybe helps here. There’s been a few GTRs turn up at autocrosses over the last 10 years, and I still remember how amazing it was on my first ride-along; I’ve driven, and rode with, very fast cars and drivers, and I was amazed at how fast it was. “How can such a big car defy physics so thoroughly” was my thinking. It’s still a hell of a lot of car, although if I had the money, I likely spend it on a Cayman GTS and put the savings to the tire budget - just more of that tossable sports car agility, less GT car. The 370Z on the other hand seems a bargain. I don’t care about the ancient tech, and it’s a lot of sports car for 30 grand. Get the base model, get a Torsen or Quaiffe for it, and enjoy the hell out of it.

This car is a prime example of how SPORTSCARS DO NOT MAKE COMPANIES MONEY. Folks bitch about the BMW Toyota partnership and then complain Toyota's are boring, and the NSX is boring and the F line up is just bland and boring without putting two and two together. The GTR has had a 12 year run with small tweaks over time because Nissan still needs to sell more units to balance out the cost of production, tooling, R&D, and more. The Supra through the BMW partnership, is more affordable and changes to the design can be made without keeping the car in the same form for over a decade. The NSX I surmise will have special models but to break even on all that investment, they're going to run the car for a very long time. Don't expect updates for a while. This is the nature of business. Want reliable but quick, you get a long ass production run. Want quick but full of features, you get a short production run but a hit or miss machine with reliability issues. The GTR for being as incredible a car as it is has had to remain within the same architecture to justify its development. This is the unfortunate nature of a car that requires bespoke engineering and bespoke components.

I really like how analog it is, no touch screen BS. I just watched Doug's review of the M8 Competition and price being no object, I would take this car. The GT-R holds about HALF of all Dragy Leaderboard spots. No other car has more than a few. Nissan TOWERS over all other makes and models with the world's ONLY supercar. With 40 verified Dragy 0-60 runs under 2 secs and 3 verified under 1 sec, nothing else is even remotely competive. For the 1320, hows 6.16 secs at 216? Godzilla is still the only car that matters.

If you check the fastest Tesla the world has ever recorded, it places 99th on the GT-Rs top 100 leaderboard. All verified by Dragy.

NSX had to get revamped. Supra had to get revamped. But Godzilla bows to no one. Still keeping up with old tech. Even more respect cuz it's STILL a BEAST!

I think credit where credit is due.....the gtr is still bossing it....looks amazing they have made the right changes without ruining the car and performance is mind bending for the age....madness....although i may be partial

@Shahul Usman I keep cars a long time thinking about buying a used gtr in a few years and am curious why did you sell it?

@@jpm408 trans was having issues, dealing with Nissan USA was a nightmare.. My nav went out and trying to charge me 9k to fix it.. Didn't like a GTR being on a track? Isn't that the purpose.. Lots of talk now about Nissan

@@shahulhusman Its unfortunate you had such issues with the car and in dealing with Nissan USA. May have to rethink getting one used. Thanks

If they made a lower spec "Skyline" with similar aesthetics, they'd sell so much in North America. I just want a Skyline. I'd buy one.

As an owner of a 2013 GTR, I approve of this video:) You should totally sell the Raptor and buy a used one, you would love it! Funny enough, I still get plenty of looks with it.

Of course you get plenty of looks 😂 GTR’s are still not at all common

A GTR will get more looks and attention than any c8 or Porsche... Just cause it's most ppls dream car and they only sold like 500 or less units a year on average in the States. It's just too exotic of a car

I feel like Nissan is really scared to change the design of the Z and the GT-R, still nice that they can compete against their opponents (huge Nissan fan here)

Sometimes older but improved upon is better. I love the old analog gauges. As far as acceleration? Anything that does a sub 5 sec to 100km (62MPH) is fast and truly, how often can you hammer your car when you street drive (and keep your license)?
