I'm from Andalucía, and she has the perfect Andalusian accent when she sings! Rosalia studied the history of Flamenco in University, so I see it as a sign of respect and admiration rather than appropriation. She is showing the world our culture in a very beautiful and respectful manner.

To those who don't speak Spanish or understand the Symbolism...The song is about Jealousy. All the symbols are about Jealousy. -The bull's horns represent being *cuckolded* (cheated on by a lover). Stabbed in the back by the horns. -The "bullets" Rosalia puts in the shotgun are "eyes" as in "Mal de ojo" or a curse/evil spell that she is going to shoot into her cheating lover. -The truck drivers are infamous as lying cheaters with a a girlfriend in each town. -The black clothed figures are *agüeros* or *Omens" - the *Ides* or bearers of evil tidings. The *Ides* are for the settling of debts. In other words they are whispering that her lovers are cheating on her, and urging her into a jealous rage to kill him. A dance of death.

Congratulations for your great work! Most people reacting to Rosalía just scratch the surface focusing on the visuals but ignoring the rich symbolism and meaning of the songs. If you like Rosalía then you should react to “Aunque es de noche”, probably the best song from Rosalía IMHO. Its lyrics is based on a San Juan de la Cruz’s poem (a great religious mystic writer from the XVI century). The intensity and power of the song is mind blowing.

Good vídeo, but Rosalia's video is a conceptual piece, there's a metaphorical meaning in each image. For example, the bull's head represents her husband, always threatening and watching from above every thing she does. So, it's difficult to understand the whole video, even for a spanish guy like me.

Okay, I say this before you start. First, I know it's common thought and sometimes academic theory, but Flamenco isn't "Gypsy". The musical phenomenon is mainly Southern and of course the Gypsy community has added plenty of things to it, but it's the result of blending many musical traditions from different cultures (Andalusian, Gypsy, Castillan, Arabic and Sephardic are the most common identified sources), and for non-Gypsies in Andalucía, this is also their traditional folk music, not something they enjoy "externally". It's part of their identity too. Secondly, "Flamenca" is Occitan. Update: I already reached where you say it's not only Gypsy. My bad for commenting too soon. Not the first time this happens lol. Cleared up those couple things, I continue watching :)

Most people who don't speak Spanish don't understand the meaning of the lyrics, so I said in the video I wanted to go more in depth into the language rather than the video, which would be another video on its own due to how complex and metaphorical it is.

That thing of fusing moder music of each dacade witj flamequish sound has been going on in Spain since the seventies or even before . Flamenco singers used allways to adapt other genres into flamenco palos ( rithms ), and a lot of singers use rumbas with other sounds since forever . So although she should be guiven the merit she deserves , here in Spain she is less innovative than she seems from an outside perspective .

"Cultural appropiation" concept is hugely stupid. Can't I play blues because I am not Afroamerican? Can't you strangers use a Spanish guitar or a French a Fender guitar because it is American? Half and half ignorance and stupidity.
