For anyone who may be confused as to why Doctor Who has moved to Disney Plus: Disney are co-funding the show in exchange for the rights to stream it outside of the UK. They don't own DW like they do with so many other properties now, they're just helping the BBC out by throwing some extra money at it.

I really want a Doctor + Donna + Family sitcom show. 26 episodes of The Doctor mucking about and doing taxes and sneaking off to mars with Rose but the episode's not about that it's about Donna being upset with The Doctor that he went off before Rose did her homework. That's all I want. If it has to be through Big Finish so be it

Yeah Chibnal the previous showrunner really messed things up sadly, the toymaker in this latest episode gives a explanation that he’s made a jigsaw of his life which can be seen as the constantly changing backstories for him that he’s messed with

It was such an easy line to pass over though. To not have the Doctor respond to it means that nothing is confirmed in that regard.

I understand the intent of the "doctor wouldn't understand because you're a man", but it perhaps should have been "you wouldn't understand because you've never been a mother" (afaik). Carrying a baby to term, with a part of your genetic material, is a different type of experience he might have ever had. Conceptually, you pass down to you child a genetic legacy, so the Doctor's legacy could have passed down to a child.

I felt like the second episode was pretty low budget. The green screen was really bad plus they didn’t bother with any kind of monster, just used David Tenant and Catherine Tate

I really enjoyed the three episodes and it got my Doctor Who anticipation to return. I also like that Tennant will return down the line.
