Thank you! That’s a very beautiful analysis. It‘s not a new track tho, it‘s still a track from the „Blood & Glitter“ record.

My mistake! I had assumed since it was released on that date that it was "new". Cheers, Eric

I had the pleasure of seeing LotL live in London on the 23rd Sept this year and they performed that song live, and it's just as amazing live as it is recorded. He has such an amazing voice.

Chris Harms has an amazing voice. I heard him the first time as a guest singer on Mono Inc.'s Children of the Dark. This song was less metal and more poppy? Loreley, Raining Stars and Morgana was a bit more my genre, but Chris can sing a lullaby and it will still be a banger!

Great analysis of the band. They have been my favorite band for several years now and they just get better and better and I found your break down very interesting. I really like how you break down sound into colors, its a very unique way to picture music. Can't wait to see more.

I liked this interesting analysis of the band's sound, and especially your descriptions of Chris' exceptional vocal quality...."darkness that still contains light". So true! As others have pointed out, the song itself has been out for a while but it was the video that was released this week. Incidentally, the little acoustic interlude is only in the video, not the album version of the song. I think it's a particularly evocative moment in the video but might not have made so much sense if assessing the song on a purely audio level.

Just love them! They are great live, too. Of course. And very dedicated. Here, they keep their promise to the fans to drop one video per month for the tracks on the Blood and Glitter album. Looked forward to the video to this wonderfully touching song. It is also really worth checking their back catalogue. They mix genres very well and no album is the same. Very creative and open minded. As I wrote: Just love them...

Chris told that he fell asleep in the coffin when they were shooting the clip. So a coffin is very comfortable 😂

Great analysis and the deep dive in the sound, with a really well express in words and radio like tempo of speaking (which is fair). First time seeing someone taking notes like a therapist while reviewing a video clip. However that might take away some seconds from the visual and unluckily there was some really good acting from the band members at those moments, since the theatrics were mentioned as well. And indeed it's very universal. About the dark that creates light is right on point in the opposite too as many of their video clips are based on white and bright light but in its essence is dark. Also, the "swan song" I don't know if it was an accidental reference to their Swan Songs album, or on purpose but it was on point as well. It was a reflection song indeed. I think if you listen to the album's tracks there is some kind of connection, like in Judas. As if we follow a story, but not as a storyline, as more of an experience. As if we see someone that faces hate and disrespect, but stands untethered, but fed up with everything explodes and leaves. Even from the titles of the songs in the row we get that. Like... Leave your hate in the comments->No respect for disrespect->Absolute attitude->Destruction manual->Reset preset->Leaving the planet earth->One last song->When the curtain falls. It kind of gives you this "storyline".

I was hoping you'd react to the song 😊 although I like the accustic version they did for 'Eurovision... a little bit more' better, the video is amazing. Happy to see them perform at the end of the month as support for Powerwolf ❤

It's funny you spoke about coffins being comfy. LOTL has released a making of video about this, & it shows that Chris fell asleep in the coffin. lol Have you heard the acoustic version of this song? I prefer it to this, but both are great. They're a phenomenal band which perfectly suits my choice in music. I prefer metal to any other kind but love pretty much any genre, especially punk, blues, classical (19th century piano music from the Romantic period especially), pop, rock, disco, so musical chameleons like LOTL are perfect for me.
