I agree. I found a dog and got a hold of the owner, she lied and said she got out of the car through the window…..we set up a meet to give her dog back and she never showed up. Found footage by the Ross…..she let her out and drove off.

I don’t want to presume every situation is totally avoidable but yes it’s a commitment for life. I got involved in an unexpected situation with a puppy and at that time I lived in a rental that doesn’t allow pets. I kept her secretly for a few months and then moved into a proper place that did allow pets. Covid happened and she was basically my Covid fur baby. I can’t imagine ever surrendering her. Now I have 2 fur babies 😊

The interesting part is why so many people seem to be "shocked" by this behavior. Think about all the horrible stories we hear about people actually treating their OWN children with neglect and abuse. What chance does a pet have with these kinds of people. Humans treat other humans horribly sometimes. It's overall sad really.

I had a neighbor that moved and left their dog behind abandoned. I hate people like that. I have 14 stray cats that I feed and water every day and night and give them canned salmon mixed with instant mashed potatoes as treats. 😢

Should be on a registry that prevents him from buying/adopting future pets. There should be a free searchable database for anyone to check if the applicant has a known history of bad pet ownership. So glad this GOOD GIRL has been rescued by some kind people
