Thank you for not putting tooo much info into these lessons. Sometimes, less is more. These fundamental concepts take a lot of slow work to really sink in. Happy to have you as my teacher 😊

This was a light bulb moment when I studied this in the Shades Of Blues course (Funky New Orleans Thing). You make it look so effortless. Really recommend Jack's TrueFire courses!

Thanks Jack, another great lesson and examples of your playing. Always inspiring to me. I'm getting there .. slowly, though.

the way you play, the clean sound, the arrangement of notes, the examples, minimalistic explanation; very unique and stirs up something somewhere deep in the creative realm. i have tagged this channel hoping to pickup something and create a composition within my playing capacity. i am a self learned hobbyist learning,playing and enjoying music myself without any audience. good wishes!

Cool Video! Short, simple, easy to follow, was a great learning experience, had some light bulb moments. Love the filming as well, colors contrast great, nice visual experience. Able to see the fingering well. This was a great introduction to me for some concepts regarding chord progressions and harmony, am gonna use this to to widen my harmonic horizon.

Hi Jack, bought 2 of your courses at Brett Papa and 1 from TrueFire. Hoping you can come up a slow blues lesson mixing rhythm and lead, like playing blues by yourself. :)

Wait what?🧐. Harmonic minor? 🤯. Why/when do we use the that?
@reinh
@reinh 5 ай бұрын
Harmonic minor comes from raising the minor third of the v to get a dominant V chord, i.e. D7 rather than Dm7. So here it's a G minor scale with an F# instead of an F. V7-i is a stronger cadence than v-i so it's used for "harmonic" purposes, thus the name.

Love this, Jack! I want to buy some of your courses but I'm in the middle of the desert and internet access is scant, so anything I buy would need to be downloadable, which appears to be a challenge in today's course delivery methods. Great work as always, Jack. 🤩
