I've got 260k+ subs as a 1 man team. The hardest part is titles and thumbnails. Sean, re-brand this video. It's one of the most important videos vidIQ has ever done.

Question for sean, when we split test titles and thumbnails, would u recommend doing it yurself and when should we do it? It never made sense to me for small channels cuz we have loyals that will throw off the stats in the 1st day or 2

Just cuz someone's a big creator doesn't mean they make good titles They may just have a really good following. So be careful when you just copy titles although that is a great way to do it and I've done that too

19:20 Ok but how do I know what title is a browse title and not a search title, visa versa? Is making a title based on search as simple as typing it into the KZbin search bar and seeing what auto populates ? How do I know whether a competitors top performing video is search or browse. How do we know what qualifies a video as a browse video other than it showing up without you searching for it? Just trying to get the bigger/deeper picture here.

I hardly ever see a thumbnail first. My eyes go directly to the title and if it's interesting I'll immediately click. I can tell you what a title of a video is that I am watching but could not tell you what the thumbnail is of that video. I do think titles are very important and something that I am consistently working on to get better at

Too many people don't know the difference between using an outlier video to do their own work and blatant copyright. I am in a pretty niche area and have closed down a number of other channels for just copying what I have done to get the views.
