Red and yellow peppers are not in different stages of ripeness. They are different varieties that both start as green.

Mmmm... looks good. Tonight I sitr fried some purple onion, red/greed peppers, mushrooms and shrimp with soy sauce, dark soy, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, over steamed rice. I love the new wok! Carbon steel, seasoned nicely. The food didn't stick at all, and cleaned up with water and a brush. Dried it and seasoned it. I've found that now that it's seasoned, I have a paper towel wadded inside of a paper coffee filter. Just a couple of drops of oil on a hot wok and wipe with the paper inside/out. And, I have leftovers!! I also have some stew meat marinating for a few days in a COLD fridge. Will do a similar dish with that. I appreciate your sharing the how-to in your videos. God bless you both.

There ARE different flavors to the peppers, the lighter they are the milder they are.. the green are stronger and the red are what you would expect.. I love the yellow. and the pale orange or pink.

Very interesting to find out that bell peppers come from the same plant. I love all but detest green, I wonder if that chlorophyll horror is at the beginning or end of grow cycle! Look forward to getting your new cookbook. Congratulations!🎈🎈👍🏻

Also I just bought your kindle version, your fried rice recipes look fantastic, however I’m allergic to egg, and suggestions for an egg substitute especially for the seafood 🦞 fried rice recipes Cheers
@FloLum2 жыл бұрын
I would just omit the egg and increase whatever protein you are using in the fried rice and for the seafood fried rice, you can just eat it on plain rice or make it without the egg. Hope that helps!

Lovely and looks and tastes delicious as always. Can you suggest a substitute for corn starch as cannot find it where I live in UK, at least with that name? Plenty of baking powder but not sure if its the same. Thanks for sharing
@FloLum2 жыл бұрын
Google says cornstarch is referred to as corn flour in the UK. Otherwise you can try potato starch or arrowroot. Cornstarch is a thickening agent, not leavening. Hope this helps.

I find that as long as my family “sees”meat in the meal they are happy. Little do they know I ALWAYS half the meat, and double the veg or beans👍🏻 It’s more economical, and my family is still happy🤷🏼♀️

No, the red, yellow, and orange colors are 3 different varieties of pepper. All 3 are green before they are ripe.

I so love your channel. I struggle with sepsis caused by deliberatly accelerated uterine cancer. On-the-job injuries as a whistleblower federal investigator in Missouri before & after Ferguson. Anyway, I struggle with appetite between the meds (provided by whistleblower medical students) and the sepsis. Your channel totally gets me feeling all comfy & hungry! Your recipes are so easily switched to vegan options. Tofu, or plant based products work perfectly in your recipes. I love cruelty-free meat products but animal protein fuels cancer. Thank you & Dude and Kitty for getting us inspired to cook wonderful healthy foods regardless of our choice of proteins we choose. It's really all about the spices & oils. The proteins all taste alike once they're seasoned in oils & sauces. Except bacon. That's pretty hard to substitute. Honestly, I just don't trust the industrial farming that's pumping the animals full of steroids & whatever else. I'm Native American. We hunted & ate meat. But we didn't kill nursing mothers or young ones. Mostly elderly and infirm animals that weren't likely to survive anyway. Then we celebrated their lives by using everything. Congratulations on the new cookbook!
