The reason he can see the All Might vestige is due to the events of the second movie most likely, the movies are all canon.

I think it's supposed to be some kind of symbolism. There's only one aspect of each movie that's been acknowledged in the manga but no spoilers just in case.

@@ALMOSTNKKD no, there's a bunch of references to all of the movies (hell even Nine makes an appearance) Especially in other MHA media (since all of it is canon) If it was symbolism it wouldn't have been the vestige since Bakugo wouldn't know what it looks like The only way it makes sense is just some form of residual connection to the quirk he used to have

@@Matthew-bm7xh I think it being a vestige was for the audience. It doesn't have to be literal and Bakugo getting OFA in that movie was never addressed. I would think that that would be a big plot point in this arc if that were the case and not what is basically a throw away visual. Or Horikoshi forgot like he did with Izuku's dad I dunno. My point is, if it were important, I'm confident it would've played a role in the final battle, but it didn't. That's basically my evidence for this being symbolism.

@@ALMOSTNKKD well there's no pay off needed, Bakugo seeing the vestige isn't important to the plot Everything was resolved in the movie and in Deku's first fight against All for One/Shigaraki where the vestiges explained they stay with him by choice Bakugo seeing the vestige allows closure in the moment since he at one point did have access to the Quirk

"How can he speak with all might?" have you ever heard of metaphor like conversations, which are used to show us more from a character. I mean 86 used it a lot and it is pretty clear to see that he is not really talking with All Might. It is just for the viewers for a bigger impact

It’s more like “seeing the people you love right before you die”. Actually a lot of people with near death experiences have reported talking to a person from their past, because apparently your brain when entering near death is trying to ease you into dying. It’s like selective dreaming but way more realistic.
