You fellows have to have the skills of a veterinarian, and agronomist , a plumber, an electrician, a tractor mechanic, truck mechanic, professional truck driver, carpenter,husband, father, machinist, welder, large equipment operator, hay farmer, corn farmer, soybean farmer, I’ve watched this show since the very early videos, I don’t know how long, maybe 5 years, and it is a part of my life now. I know it gets tedious for you to set up these cameras, Cole, and probably even Brain is doing it now. Oh, I forgot , he has the skills of a music publisher, also. Thank you both,for the things you do , the joy you bring to probably millions of people. I have learned more than you can possibly imagine, and I hope that you never tire of these things , that you so unselfishly share with us . Thank you.

@@tamisonne2519 Your family could never know , the happiness you are sharing around the world. Maybe now, after these many years, you do, and the millions of comments you have received, but your family is more familiar to me, than members of my own family . We had one a few years ago that we had to bottle feed because we didn't have a cow to put it on, a lot of work and a cost too. Anyways, good to see you got the calves taken care of, I want to wish you all a blessed Easter!

That mother cow was bound and determined to get both of you. Wow. I was not there and I was scared for both of you. Wow. She did not want to give up that calf I guess. So glad you both are ok and not hurt. I got knocked over several times. Those cows can be so quick. Glad you got the double pulley out on ok. That old one did not want to come off. Runs good now. Wishing you both all the best with that fostering. Don't get too confident around some of these single suckler cows as they will not think twice about mowing you down or worse if they get into panic mode or super protective mum. Many farmers will experience calf losses of up to 5% (including those born dead or dying within 6 hrs of birth) so you are doing really well so far.

2 years ago we bought 6 herfords from the sale barn with horns, got them cheap, well cheap doesn't usually mean good. They were, let's just say skittish. One developed foot rot, and after about the second time with the Ole LA200 she was a little apprehensive about going in our catch pen. The first 2 treatments I got her in myself but this time my dad came along. Well I was in front and the cow put her head down and I turned and she put me to the ground. She ripped a hole in the backside of my blue jeans and a horn sized hole through my whitey tighties, and put a horn shaped gash right between my nut sack and but hole. I probably should have gotten a few stitches and a lock jaw shot but I let it heal on its own and thankfully turned out fine.

@cobra725010 ай бұрын
Hi Cole, you may be aware of this already, but just in case when you purchase belts for the double pulley, they should be purchasing a match set. Single belts are not all the same size it’s very little difference, but it does make it difference if one belts tight and one is not tight after you tension it up. Anyway, good luck and keep up the good work. I love your show.
